Angie Marks brings her 10 year old daughter to Delroi for safety. Tel came looking for Tessa and caught Angie off guard. Angie was part of a off the books black ops team that hunted rogue telepaths and someone is killing her former team mates. A friend of Janice and cousin to Kendall, she is hoping for a peaceful place to raise her daughter.
Vidar Stain found his mate in Marek Naveen, heir to the Naveen Clan a large and power clan with strong ties to the Torfa Clan. Their relationship has been strained since Vidar lost his team in an ambush by rebels. Then he meets Angie and she is his der'lan too.
Marek Naveen has been trying to reconnect to Vidar for months, but he keeps being shut out. Angie may just the women to bring them back together. Marek isn't above using his parents to pull him in.
Angie can't deny the strong attraction to both Vidar an Marek. They both clearly adore Tessa and she them. Vidar is a alpha control freak. While Marek has a much softer touch he is just as over protective as Vidar. Angie is a solider and an good attorney, and quiet capable of taking care of her self and her daughter. She won't be dictated to, or smothered in their need to protect. She is falling for them. Their families have taken her and her daughter as their own. Tessa is has found a tight and loving circle of family and friends. If Vidar and Marek can't find a way to accept who and what she is, she will take Tessa and leave Delroi.
