Product Description

Thief. Murderess. Sacrificial messenger. Netriet has faced death many times but she never consented to the transformation she endured the last time her life was pulled back from the edge of death. She’s compelled to live a solitary life for fear the shadow inside her will terrify others. Lonely, Netriet longs for acceptance and friendship. Joining up with the Fair, a haven for misfits, she believes she’s found home and love with Merick.

The ghosts of Merick’s past haunt him. Helplessly attracted to Netriet, he’s sworn to help her destroy the shadow within, but losing his heart to her cripples him with fear. Mistakes and misunderstanding push her away and Merick’s forced to watch her flee into the arms of another man.

Torn between two men, Netriet’s true nature is drawn to one, while the shadow yearns for the other. At war with the darkness, Netriet must choose, or let the shadow swallow her completely.

The fate of Regia's new republic hangs in the balance as a new enemy arises, backed by a group of violent insurgents bent on destroying everything Forest has worked for. Desperate for intelligence about the terrorist group, Forest learns the leader wants not only to claim the throne, but also her life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark Soul (Netriet) 23 April 2015

My expectations were not very high for this book do to being disappointed with the last book. So I was very surprised but glad to find myself thoroughly enjoying this book, as much if not more than the first book.

This book's focal point is Netriet in very intriguing story in the way unfolds. It really kept me reading with each new twist. I won't give any spoilers for for this book because of not wishing to spoil this book for other readers. What I will say is those who like Forest and Syrus won't be disappointed.

I am really looking forward to the next book being released this fall. I would highly recommend this book.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best book of the series, and full of surprises! 7 September 2015

So many mixed emotions on Dark Soul.
Hopeful, sad, worried, scared. Full of suspense!
This story mainly focuses on Netriet and Merick. The LOVE, the passion, the burning need the two have for each other.
I won't give any spoilers, but if you love this series, you'll love it even more after reading this book.
And the very end....the end is a HUGE surprise that involves Syrus and Forest.
You NEED to read it! Pick it up and do NOT put it down until you are done. Took me about 4 hours to read (including have to stop for bathroom breaks and to deal with kiddos), maybe 2-3 hours if you have no interruptions.
Best book of the series, and I definitely cannot wait for Burning Bridges to be released!

Warning: you must read the series in order or you are doing yourself a disservice. I can't give away the story, but the completion of Netriet is truly great. I also enjoyed hearing more about Copernicus and the fair and Forest's new sword. It was a nice progression in the Regia series. The series is amazing, and holds the attention throughout.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good series for the fantasy lover! 30 January 2016

I love these books! I love to read fantasy/epic fantasy/science fiction books, but when I'm left waiting YEARS for the next book, I am NOT complaining about a certain series about thrones :), these books are there to fill the void. I love that they are quick reads, I can read them while on trips, etc. They're fleshed out enough to keep you interested, but not so much that they are a bore. I am definitely going to continue reading from this author!

It was good... Merrik and Netriet were cute, in a goofy kind of way. The horrible attempt of the love triangle was hollow and not very satisfying. The first two were better.
