***Complete trilogy now available!***

She will risk everything to save his life.

When seventeen-year-old vampire hunter Sloane McAllister went into the Red Sector to look for her brother, she never expected to meet vampire commander Aden Knight. She definitely never meant to fall in love with him. And she never thought she’d call the vampires her friends, or that to save them she would defy the one person she swore to always protect: her maniacal twin brother, Orion.

After thwarting her brother’s plan to wipe out all vampires with a super virus, she thinks she may at last catch a break – until Aden grows ill, and she’s thrown into prison for treason. But a jail cell can’t compare to the thought of losing Aden forever. The brilliant vampire doctor Paris De Lange thinks she can manufacture a cure, but she’ll need Orion’s blood to do so. There’s just one problem – Orion has escaped.

Now if Sloane has any hope of saving Aden’s life, she must travel to the surface and bring her brother to justice. But the White Sectors are far from safe. Revolution is brewing, and the control of the White Sector governments grows unstable as the Black Cross Guild creates anarchy in the streets, clashing with the Scarlet Guard and making them increasingly more aggressive. They do have one thing in common – they both want Sloane, dead or alive.

With the world rising up against her, Sloane must rely on old enemies that become new allies, uncover the mysteries surrounding her heritage, and conquer her inner demons before the virus has time to claim the man who’s stolen her heart.

Sloane comes from a military backround and also is a member of the Black Cross Guild, trained to kill the rogue vampires that ended her world. It was believed that these vampires were blood thirsty, and arn't capable of rational thoughts. One night, Sloane goes into the Red Sector, forbidden due to the roaming Rogue Vampires are there, to look for her twin brother who was attacked by these Rogue Vampires during the time they were taking over. In the Red Sector, she meets Aden, who realizes how important she is (due to her birthmark-the mark of the first vampire) and turns her before she can fight back, taking her to an underground secret vampire civilization where she learns that not only do some vampires act and look just like every other human, but arn't murdering irrational beings. She begans to fall in love with this new home, and the people that live in it.

You'll have to read it to find out the rest.

The reason I gave this a 5 was because it isn't a well known book, and its cheap, but also the author has built a wonderful and creative world among devastation. You get to know the character and what she stands for, as well as the characters who come into play. This is a pretty great read. Action packed to the max with some romance and a falling goverment. The perfect "World Gone To Hell" book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Action packed from start to finish 11 December 2012

Sloane is on a quest to save Aden from the super virus but will she get to him in time? This story has pages and pages of action and so many twists and turns that you feel like you are wandering in a maze. Each chapter leads you down a different path and the next thing you know there is a roadblock and the direction changes altogether. Struggling with her feelings for Aden and dealing with being a vampire is not easy for Sloane plus killing your brother has to be a burden even if he was her psycho twin. Sloan is determined to succeed as she will not be able to live with the alternative if Aden dies. Dezyre who we all loved to hate in the first book does redeem herself in this one though I would never say that we would ever be BFF's as she is way to prissy for my liking. Leo surprised me by his change of heart and came through for Sloan when she needed him though I am still Team Aden all the way. Reading this series has been very entertaining and never a dull moment, I am really looking forward to reading the next book. Well done Krystle and it was definitely worth the wait.
2.0 out of 5 stars I felt like I was wringing my hands the whole time 29 August 2015

Given the circumstances, her character should change and develop. I felt that she was a totally different person and it turned me off to the rest of this story. Maybe the fact that they didn't portray her in a way to root for her. The story was ok, but, I felt like I was wringing my hands the whole time.

Another great book in this series. Many twists and turns. I wish there was a little bit more connection and explanation of the romances, but this is a great series! The main character is easy to connect to. The world is described beautifully. I see the Red Sector and the White Sector while I read this book. Can't wait to start the next book.
3.0 out of 5 stars It was good, but didn't pull me in like the first 8 January 2013

I was super excited when I realized the second Red Sector novel had come out as I adored the first, but I struggled through it. I can't quite pin point what exactly threw it off for me but I wasn't enthralled as I had been with the first book. Maybe it needed more Aiden? Regardless I still look forward to more works by Ms. Jones
