4.0 out of 5 stars 90% flash fiction with a short story at the end to tie it all up. All of it good. 19 May 2017
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

I like flash fiction a lot. It compacts the best elements of a short story into a tighter and more readable piece. All of these stories -- much more suspense than horror -- are pretty good, 90% of them flash fiction pieces that deliver in less than ten pages (usually about 5 or 6 pages long). However, the last story -- a revenge story about a man who kills a woman out of pent up rage and gets a very brutal payback for it -- is over ten pages long. It rambles only a little at the beginning, but it still feels jarring because of the shorter, tighter pieces that proceeded it. Still, all of the stories and I look forward to more of this author's work.
3.0 out of 5 stars More stories needed 9 June 2017

I'm giving this a three star review because I enjoyed some of the stories but some were so short I didn't understand. These were unique. I could see these all fleshed out, yeah maybe a little but of a pun; and be worth a five star rating. I would read more. This would be for anyone who isn't a fan of short, short stories. But for those who like a taste of horror this might be something to try.
4.0 out of 5 stars Quick, gritty, really dark writing that gets right to the point. 3 June 2017

Quick, gritty, really dark writing that gets right to the point. Kyla doesn’t need to gross you out with endless gore (though there’s plenty if that’s your thing) to give you the creeps. Her writing is different, really playing on the dark side of human nature. I enjoyed these very short pieces. There are editing/proofreading issues, which surprised me because 4 editors are listed. Overall, a worthwhile quick and creepy read.

Short collection of creepy bits, all of which could be expanded into something greater. Great for a quick, violent read!

3.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyed many of the story ideas... 3 May 2017

I liked several of the story ideas, original and interesting. However, there are unfortunately a lot of grammar fixes that took me out of the moment. A few fine lines of description that I loved...just needed some basic editing.
