Product Description

Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains references to drinking, sexual situations, adult language, and an intense bad boy hero who will melt your heart.

Annie McFarland is sick of being a shy nobody. A session at summer camp seems like the perfect opportunity to reinvent herself—gain some confidence, kiss a boy, be whoever she wants to be. A few days in, she’s already set her sights on über-hottie Kyle. Too bad her fear of water keeps her away from the lake, where Kyle is always hanging out.

Jacob Fazio is at Camp Pine Ridge after one too many screw-ups. Junior counseling seems like punishment enough, but the rigid no-fraternizing-with-campers rules harsh his chill. When a night of Truth or Dare gets him roped into teaching Annie how to swim, she begs him to also teach her how to snag Kyle.

Late-night swim sessions turn into late-night kissing sessions…but there’s more on the line than just their hearts. If they get caught, Jake’s headed straight to juvie, but Annie’s more than ready to dare him to reveal the truth.

5.0 out of 5 stars ... it’s safe to say that I might be in love with the Entangled Teen Crush series 7 December 2016

I think that it’s safe to say that I might be in love with the Entangled Teen Crush series. These books have been the perfect escape from reality. With all the wedding planning and family drama, this was my breath of fresh air. I would say hands Down this is the perfect summer read for young adults. It’s fluffy, nostalgic, adorable, and just so swoon worthy.

The story starts off with Annie preparing to leave for summer camp. She's a good girl but a loner, she's hoping to reinvent herself. She'd like to do all those things teenage girls do, make friends, be daring and talk to the cute boy. She very relatable as the heroine and fun to root for.

As for Jake, who has made my list of perfect literary boyfriends, is your resident bad boy and with the threat of juvie hanging over his shoulder, his father sends him to work with his uncle at summer camp. His uncle is supposed to straighten him out, and if he steps out of line he'll be carted off back home and straight to juvie. This hero makes you swoon right from the beginning. I cheered for him and I defended him.

I absolutely loved reading both from Jake's and Annie's POV. They were really great characters who develop a lot throughout this book. At least Jake did. I think chapter nineteen is right about where I began to have murderous thoughts about Annie. The fact that she ran off behind Jake’s back made me scream. My feelings towards her took a turn and I don’t think they ever came back on track. I was team Jake %100.

Another plus side about this book is that it’s very realistic. Annie's relationship with her camp friends, her crush on Kyle that develops by the whole atmosphere that her friends created, that one move she made behind Jake's back (eye roll). All of these things while annoying all happens in real life, not everything is perfect or overdone. I thought the book was very well written and very entertaining and relatable.

I also have a new love for paper airplanes.

Annie a shy, good girl who would rather have her nose in a book during her summers' except for this year. This year Annie wants to try something New... Camp! She has decided to attend a summer camp program hoping it helps her make some friends, gain some confidence, and perhaps loosen up enough to have some fun.

Jake the camp's bad boy. Why is he here working all summer instead of at home hanging with his friends?!? Well let's just say Jake has screwed up way too many times and his dad's had enough! His dad decides to send him away to Jake's uncle's camp for the summer to learn responsibility and get his act together before it's too late.

Jake & Annie both have a secret that they carry with them which may explain as to why these two characters are the way they are. One acts out and is always angry, never really getting over a loss he faced when he was younger, while the other lives a sheltered life and has a deep rooted fear of water, But Why?!? Can these two somehow help one another?

Jake & Annie meet and aren't quite fond of each other at first, but as time goes by they learn more about one another unexpected feelings surface on both their parts. What will draw these two opposites together? and What may keep them apart?

This was an Adorable YA read full of warm, gushy feelings and plain old teen fun!

Daring the Bad Boy by Monica Murphy....This was such a cute sweet read that I could not put it down. I absolutely love Monica Murphy's writing style, seeing both sides of POVs. Jake and Annie were very well written characters that you can relate to and find yourself pulling for these two. This is a must read, I am so excited to read more by this author. I was given a complimentary book by publisher via NetGalley for an honest review.

This is a really cute and CLEAN, young adult romance. Having read quite a few books by the author in the past I knew I needed to pick up this one and I wasn't disappointed. While it may not be my favorite book by the wonderful Monica Murphy, it is a great book for teens to read.
