The bad first. 1. Dialogue was difficult hear at times and the subtitles didn't work. 2. Some of the acting didnt quite gel. I suspect both due to, to varying degrees, budget and directorial/acting skills.
The good. Good story as basis, well plotted and builds tension. Doesn't succumb to jingoism, presenting it as a fight for survival that had no winners. The battle scenes feel very real (having never experienced war, I wouldnt know), showing chaos and noise but why did the Aussies keep standing up to get shot when tt was easy enough to get killed lying down?
