I haven't read anything quite like this before. I've read some really really great series, and some really not so great series, but this series is so different to anything I've read thus far. I wasn't expecting anything great to be honest - the title put me off (Billionaires and Bodyguards..) but I opened the pages... and I haven't put the first 3 books down. These 2 beautiful men just fit together. The way they get each other, words, actions, thoughts - there is something more going on. A karmic connection, or a bond that spans eons - take your pick - but something about these 2 sing to something beyond this plane. I dont know how accurate life is living with that sort of media scrutiny, but it must be pretty horrendous - and yet these 2 navigate new feelings, new everythings that must stay hidden. Its hot, they are hot together and I am totally i need of sleep. Please read this - sooooo very, very good...

Oh my God the sass. I adore these two. Maximoff and Farrow are fantastic, both individually and as a couple. Reading Moffy open himself up, realise what he is playing for, what he will risk. Farrow learning to walk the line, discovering that it isn't black and white. All while they sass each other.
I love the insight into the families we got in this one too. Charlie feels so real, his talking about his actions, his reasons is perfect. Xander is another who is very real, very human and relatable. And the moments with the 1st gens. Rose is hilarious. Loren is exactly where Moffy got is humour from. That entire generation is brilliant, their sacrifices, their capacity for forgiveness, they are the best kind of inspiration to their kids.
I can see some terrible complications coming in dear Sulli's life. I can see her being stuck between her buddy guard Akara and Jack. You cannot sell me on Akara having no feelings for her. Question is what is the mover there. He's a tri-force, bending the rules even for her it's a risk.
I liked the choice of villain, he's a clever choice that opens up a few storylines.
I am 100% emotionally invested in Like Us. I can't wait for Alphas Like Us to see where this fantastic rollercoaster ride goes next.

Hot as hell!!!!! Maximoff and Farrow, two alpha males who can't stand each other but are so attracted to the other.
But nothing can ever happen between them because Farrow is Maximoff's body guard. There are rules.
And the whole forbidden taboo aspect made this romance that much hotter.
I have to say though, I'm sorely disappointed in our favorite 3 couples, the parents of this amazing crazy new generation. How they outright accused Jane and Moffie with their logic and facts not taking their word. It hurt. And I'm absolutely shocked they'd ever do that. I'm being bitter here and I'm going for it: it's because of all 6 of them that their children live in such f@$*ed situations, are bullied and objectified by the world and can't live the lives they want because it's constantly scrutinized. They live under their parents shadow and their parents mistakes. It sucks. And I hope in the next book they get he'll from their kids for not standing by them. If anyone were to understand Farrow and Maximoff's relationship it would be them but they didn't. If anyone were to stand by Jane and Maximoff when lies from the public started, it shouldve been them. Instead they trusted their "facts" and "logic". So disappointed in them.
But I'm definitely excited for the next book.

I've read the first three books in this series in around 4 days, so I think that's a pretty good indicator of how much I liked them. Maximoff & Farrow are wonderfully complex characters - I love their banter, their romance and the intimacy of their relationship (I don't just mean the sex). Not sure yet if I feel the need to read the rest of the series, but these first three have been great!

So many wonderful things about this book that kept me desperate for more all the way through. Firstly, great characters, which is of course to be expected from a Ritchie novel, but they didn't disappoint. I was so excited to see adult Maximoff Hale and if he matched the image I'd had in my head - in some ways he did, and in some ways he didn't, but I liked him more for it. These characters are imperfect and interesting.
The book is filled with humour, love, and affection - for the characters and between the characters. It's an immersive experience. If you like to invest deeply in and connect emotionally to the story you are reading, this book is for you.
Another outstanding aspect is the focus on complicated relationships with well written emotional responses - the conflict in this book is never melodramatic. These characters feel real and their reactions feel real, justified and deftly explored.

Something about how the twins write gets me in. Such a fluffy world of the rich and famous but makes a great read. Probably because of the relatable and funny characters. You find yourself wanting to know more about all of them. And Farrow - what a beautiful blend to uptight Maximoff. They were beautiful together. Loved them. Looking forward to book 2

I'm tired and sleep deprived but devouring DLU as fast as I could was worth it- now it's time for a reread!
For fans of K&B, this book has everything we've come to love from their series. For new readers- it's a great point to jump into the universe the Ritchie twins have created (but seriously- read everything they've ever written).
For me this book hit the perfect spot of being separate from the addicted/Calloway series while acknowledging the history we've followed for years. It holds up on its own merits as a strong MM romance, funny, sexy and often sweet. It will go down as a favourite in the genre, with all the plot and character development (along with emphasis on family) we've come to love and expect from Krista and Becca.
I'm off to start again from the beginning and start counting down until Lovers Like Us is here!

I can't explain how desperate I have been to get my hands on this book, I can't remember the last time a book release had me as excited as this one. And then for the first time, in a long time, I stayed up until 4.30am reading it after its midnight release. I couldn't function in work the next day I was so tired, but also because I was so hungover from this book that I immediately started reading it again. Yes, that's right. In the past 3 days I have read this book twice. It's just that good.
"Our fame burns. And burns. None of us need to stoke the flames for it to stay lit. And me—fame is my friend and foe. It’s a part of me. A tangible thing that lives inside of me. This is the only life I’ve ever lived. It’s the only life I know."
I have to start with Maximoff aka.Moffy because I've been in love with this character since he was born. He was cute as a child but as an adult he's just beautiful both inside and out. I love his place in the family, basically the big brother to not only his siblings but also to his cousins. He's the one they all know they can rely on and this is proved multiple times throughout the book when they come to him for help and he is there for them every single time. I loved seeing his relationships with all his cousins and I am really hoping for more scenes in the rest of this series with all the cousins together. Farrow is your typical alpha male with the big muscles but an even bigger heart. He's a perfect mix of tough and caring and his ability to understand Moffy perfectly just solidifies how perfect he is.
"We can't all be heroes," I say matter-of-factly.
"If I'm not the hero, what am I?" Maximoff is waiting for me to call him a villain.
"You're a prince who wants to be a knight."
The romance between Moffy and Farrow was written PERFECTLY! I spent the majority of this book swooning with a tons of butterflies flitting around my tummy. The banter between these two is brilliant and I love their competitiveness to always have the upper hand, even in the bedroom. Speaking of which, damn the Ritchie sisters know how to write a sex scene. So much steaminess in this book, like off the charts steamy!
But I think the thing that made me love these two so much was just how perfect they fit together. Moffy care's for everyone when they are at their most vulnerable but can never let himself be vulnerable around anyone else. But with Farrow he can be and doesn't have to feel any weaker for it. I wondered how it was going to work with two alpha males in one relationship, sure that one of them would have to give it eventually and be the "less alpha" but it never happened. They just complimented each other perfectly.
"I’m hooked by the way he’s staring deeply at me. Like I’m a fantasy. Like I’m something made of heaven and stars that he’s dreamt of—and I never thought to ask what a celebrity who could have anyone in the world fantasizes about. And I wonder how long it’s been me."
I really loved the addition of the bodyguards in this series and being able to see the life of the people who protect the characters we love. The banter between the bodyguards was really funny but I also loved how emotionally invested they were in each of their clients lives. For me, they felt more like family and I can't wait to see more from all of them in future books.
"His know-it-all smile kills me, and I swear he’s one second from saying, do you like that? And I think, too damn much."
We don't get much of the core six in this book (Lily, Lo, Rose, Connor, Daisy, Ryke) and I think I actually preferred it that way. As much as I love them and adored their series this book was Moffy's and the rest of the younger generation and I feel that having them appear in it more would have put the focus on them. That being said, I kind of would have loved a big family gathering with everyone, like someone's birthday or Thanksgiving or something, to see the whole family together and how they all interact. Maybe that's something to look forward to int he next book!
"I’m watched and observed all the time. By strangers. By cameramen. By people. And never, never have I come undone. Until now, until his eyes feel like hands, and I want them all over me."
There are so many amazing things about this book that I haven't wrote about in this review, but if I did I would be typing for hours and you would get bored and stop reading. Basically, this book is amazing and you need to read it. Like now.

This is the first book by these authors I have read. It had been on my kindle for a while and I think I must have got it free at some point. Oh my word! I devoured it! The premis is a bit old hat but the story is totally new and exciting.
I rarely buy books as I read so many and have kindle unlimited but as soon as I finished this one I went and bought the next two in the series.
Absolutely brilliant read

Too much tell and not enough show. A few too many scenes that did nothing to move the story forward. Way too many characters to follow any sort of plot.
I felt no desire to see the characters success in love. There was no passion, and the sex scenes were flat.
Being talked at by the narrator felt jarring and the constant one sentence paragraphs were more annoying than dramatic or edgy.
The bodyguard and billionaire trope is overdone in m/m romance but here it's just done badly.

Even though the authors say that you don’t need to read the addicted novels and Calloway Sisters books before reading this one, I recommend that you do. I read this and was a bit confused in places. Before reading books 2 and 3 I read the addicted series alongside the Calloway Sisters. I am glad I did because it answered many questions. I even re- read this book and am now ready to read 2 and 3. Saying that, I enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to the other 2.

The addicted series and the Calloway sister stories are still up there with my favourite books. I had mixed feelings about reading this series but decided to bite the bullet and give it a go. There were some great moments in this book but I couldn't help but compare these characters to their parents and sadly they fell a bit short. The bodyguard relationship is interesting and the story is well told. Just not a new favourite.
