Product Description

She's temptation personified
Nathan's always been more than just my dad's friend. I never thought he'd see me as an adult, especially not after avoiding me for so long. But one hug, one moment feeling every inch of him against me, shatters that illusion. Consequences no longer matter--I'm eighteen, and I'm willing to risk everything for my shot with him.

He's not going to resist anymore
I never should've seen Eve as more than my best friend's daughter. As a cop, I know it's wrong. It's my job to protect her from guys like me. Chasing her could cost me my career--not to mention the only family I've ever known--but I can't hold back another second. One taste, and I want her. To hell with the fallout.

All our books can be read in any order, or as standalones. Looking for something quick, filthy, and taboo with a guaranteed HEA and no cheating? DADDY'S BEST FRIEND delivers

The Cop knew he was in trouble when he saw her dress.
Eighteenth birthday celebrations with all her Fathers colleges. He had wanted her for along time but then last year he noticed she had grown up. There was no hope of stopping this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Super fast, super sexy, may-december relationship 13 May 2017

Um, wow. Okay. The writing duo London Hale takes erotica by storm with Daddy's Best Friend. Bringing together super alpha hero, and yummy police officer, Nathan and his best friend's recently turned eighteen, but maybe not as naive has one thinks, Eve, in a story filled with so much heat you'll need an industrial fan to cool yourself down.

Daddy's Best Friend is everything I love about erotica and erotic romance. There's scorching heat and chemistry between the leads peppered with just enough romance to make you want to swoon. Nathan is this amazing alpha cop in the vein of Tessa Bailey's Derek. He's this brute who knows and goes after what he wants, even if he has to fight his conscience over it. And when he finally goes after Eve? Holy. Crap. I adored Eve as well. She's this spitfire who has gone out of her way to drive Nathan crazy and it culminates in sheer awesomeness.

I think it's important going in to realize there is a large age gap between the characters. He's not her father's best friend for nothing, you know. But the great thing is that nothing happens until she's past eighteen. Nathan may have been lusting after her before she became legal but nothing was acted upon until after. And no matter how big the gap is, it never really hurt the story. If anything, I think it helped the story along because you had the added drama and the extra oomphf.

If you're looking for a fast, fun, and rather dirty read, Daddy's Best Friend is definitely going to be right up your alley. It's filled with more heat than you can shake a stick at while having enough heart that you'll fall in love with the characters and leave wanting more of Temperance Falls. Good thing the next two books come out later this month!

4.0 out of 5 stars DELICIOUSLY CUTE AND OH SO SEXY !!! 3 May 2017

Title: Daddy's Best Friend: Experience Counts (A May-December Romance)
Series: Temperance Falls (Book One)
Author: London Hale
Designation: Standalone Older Man/Younger Woman Contemporary Romance Novella, NO Cliffhanger
My Rating: Four Sinfully Sexy Stars*****
Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! I loved it! Sign me up for the Temperance Falls Gazette! I want more from London Hale! A few months ago, I heard whispers across Facebook of a possible collaboration between two of my favorite authors, Ellis Leigh and Brighton Walsh. And it just so happens, the rumors were true. These two very talented word slingers have joined forces under the new pen name London Hale offering readers a delightfully naughty and oh so sexy new series entitled Temperance Falls featuring one of my all-time favorite tropes, May-December Romance. For anyone who is unfamiliar with the term, it simply means a romance between two people in which there's a big age gap, where one of the partners is in the spring of their life (younger) and the other is in the winter of their life (older). I particularly adore the older man/younger woman supposition which is the premise for this story. And FYI, there is nothing perverse or tawdry about this story. The younger partner is of legal age (eighteen or over), the sex is consensual and the romance is steamy but sweet. Hale's debut novel, Daddy's Best Friend, is a sexy, fast-paced, well-edited, easy to follow, standalone romance novella with a beautifully written and well-edited his and her first person narrative. It's a fun, quick read coming in at less than 100 pages and does not end with a cliffhanger but more of a happy-for-now. The dialogue is smart, snappy, fabulously flirty, deliciously dirty and flows effortlessly. And like all May-December tropes, this is very much a character-driven story. I was immediately smitten with the two protagonists, eighteen-year-old recent high school graduate Eve (I could never find her last name) and Nathan 'Nate' Pearce, a Temperance Falls police officer. These two characters complemented each other perfectly and were absolutely adorable together. Their interaction was electric, their banter flirty, their passion undeniable, their love irresistible, and their sexual chemistry was so hot it sizzled!

Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! So if I loved it so much, then why only four stars? There was only one little thing that really bugged me. I could never find Eve and Brandon's(her father) last name. I know this is only a fun, short, sexy romp and not a deep, dark, gritty romance with complex characters and a complicated storyline but it's still very much a character driven story featuring people who live in a lovely small town where every resident knows everyone... and their business. I should know since I live in a town much like Temperance Falls, and for me to fully engage with the characters, especially the protagonists, no matter how short the book, I need to know their full name. I think we learn everything else about Eve but her last name... her age, the name of her best friend, the fact her mother died when she was only five, the color of her eyes, the length of her hair, the scent of her body wash, and even the way she likes her scrambled eggs, but never her last name. We know Nathan's last name and even learn the name of Eve's father's wealthy business partner and his son, Clark and Brock Wilkinson, respectively. So why not give Eve and Brandon (two of the primary players) a last name? Sorry, It's just one of my pet peeves, so enough said. But if I'm wrong and somehow just missed it, please, someone, tell me and I'll be happy to change my rating to five stars. I don't base my ratings on whether I think the book is some sort of masterpiece or literary work of art. I base it strictly on the craftsmanship and how much I enjoyed the story... and I enjoyed this one tremendously. Would I recommend this book? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain explicit language and naturally, some steamy dreamy sex between two consenting adults of legal age. And although the sex scenes are smokin' hot, they don't drag on for twenty pages each. The entire book can be read in about two hours but it's well worth the price of 99 pennies. Will I read this author again? Abso-freaking-lutely! Just as soon as they release their next book! As a matter of fact, I've already ordered the second book of the series which is currently available for preorder on Amazon and scheduled for release on May 16, 2017. And finally, was I entertained? Oh my lawd, YES! Completely! If you enjoy a quick, cute, fun, flirty, dirty, and sinfully sweet read featuring an older hero and a younger heroine, and sprinkled throughout with a little angst and a whole lot of forbidden love, then this is one I'm sure you'll enjoy! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read! And for the record, I already know what I want for Christmas. I'm sending my letter to Santa early to ask for a trip to Temperance Falls and my very own CILF! lol...

Nathan Pearce has a good life with a job he loves as a police officer in Temperance Falls, so he never dreamed he would find himself in his current predicament... being attracted to his best friend's eighteen-year-old daughter Eve. Nathan is not only twice her age and old enough to be Eve's father, he's also been Brandon's best friend for the past twenty years. In his defense, he'd only recently begun to notice Eve's...um... attributes after seeing her in a smokin' hot, almost see-through white bikini and had desperately tried to stay away. But as her name implied, Eve's the ultimate Garden of Eden temptation and we all know how that turned out for Adam! The road to hell is paved with good intentions and Nate's intentions were good. It's just his resistance to said temptation that's poor, very, very poor. lol... Naturally, there's also Brock Wilkinson, the son of Brandon's very wealthy business partner who thought he'd already called dibs on Eve, but our little temptress only had eyes for Nate. Sparks fly, passions ignite, tempers flare, romance blooms, and true love refuses to be denied. But is Nate willing to risk his career as well as his longtime friendship with Brandon to have Eve? That would be a big fat YES! Oh my! Giddy up, little doggies! Get ready for a smutty sweet read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Taboo romance done right! 9 May 2017

5 hot as HALE stars!

(I couldn't resist.)

London Hale is the pen name of writing duo Ellis Leigh and Brighton Walsh. It's my first time reading either of them and now that I've had a taste, they're going on my TBR again for sure--individually and as London.

Daddy's Best Friend is the first book in the Temperance Falls series and it's taboo romance at its best. Eighteen-year-old Eve has her eye on her dad's best friend, Nathan. Both Eve and Nathan know how wrong their attraction is, but one day they can no longer resist each other.

Understandably, Nathan is extremely conflicted about pursuing Eve. Not only is he older than her, but he's her dad's best friend. On top of everything else, Nathan's also a cop. A relationship with Eve would be wrong on so many levels...but so right at the same time.

Despite Eve's age, I found her mature and didn't get a little girl vibe from her at all, which I'm glad the authors avoided. In addition, I loved how the logistics of the reveal are handled. Eve's dad reacts as expected, but there's a great twist that sets things up nicely for the next book in the series.

This is a shorter read, but one that's massively hot. If you're looking for taboo romance done right, add London Hale to your TBR. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
4.0 out of 5 stars Daddy's Best Friend - A filthy good time! 9 May 2017
By Michelle New - Published on Amazon.com

I can honestly say that I didn’t read past the title of this book to know I had to have it. An author friend tagged me in a post and I had to beg for a copy. And just so you all know just how badly I needed this book – I don’t really ever ask for an ARC – I don’t blog so I can’t really sign up for them and I’ve been lucky to have a solid group of authors that allow me on their review teams, so I rarely venture out to add more to the already crazy to do list. But this one... yeah, no shame – I begged. I had no blog to list in the form so I just pleaded my case for why I needed this filthy gem in my hands.

Daddy’s Best Friend is the work of London Hale, a co-author project by Ellis Leigh and Brighton Walsh. First, I have not read anything from these two authors before (that is changing real quick) and second, I LOVE that there is no secrecy to this endeavor (I get the reasons behind some, but still am too jaded by a few that I really love seeing full disclosure). From the title, it’s pretty clear the story you’re going to get. So beware that it’s taboo, it’s got an age gap and it takes a close adult/child relationship and turns it into a sizzling romance.

Nathan knows exactly when he started seeing little Evie as Eve, the woman – his greatest temptation. And although he’s spent the last the last year avoiding her, he can’t do that forever. As the town’s cop, he knows better. But with Eve turning eighteen and setting her sights on him, there is only so much one man can take. Even if he knows it’s wrong.

I have to say that although the title and the blurb of this book sets up one filthy good time, this story was not at all just pure smut. There was room for a bit more depth, but this sort of trope isn’t really known for having deep roots – but there was more to this than just dirty sex.

I am looking forward to the second release from this duo, DILF – especially given how this one ends.
5.0 out of 5 stars Daddy's Best Friend is the first book written by London Hale 3 May 2017

Daddy's Best Friend is the first book written by London Hale, the combined pen name of Brighton Walsh and Ellis Leigh and I got to say that these two women should have gotten together to write a lot sooner because this erotic novella was absolutely amazing! Daddy's Best Friend was everything I was expecting it to be when it was first announced and then some and I loved it so much!

Like expected this book was off the charts hot! I prefer steamy romances to sweet romances more often than not and I also can't get enough of taboo romances so this book was pretty much the perfect read for me. However, on top of just being an extremely steamy romance, I also found that the relationship between Nathan and Eve was quite sweet. Their relationship wasn't just sex, these two truly cared about each other and that made this book all the more satisfying. And in regards to Nathan and Eve, they were both great characters. Alpha male heroes are always my favorite in the romances I read and that really was Nathan. As for Eve, I loved that she was a go-getter. She knew what she wanted and didn't hesitate to go after it and I was really with her when it came to that attitude. I also loved the other characters in this book, Eve's dad and her best friend. They were just as entertaining to read about when they were on the page as Nathan and Eve.

Overall, this book was fantastic in every way. With just this book, I can tell that all the books these two publish as London Hale are going to be must-reads for me and needless to say I really recommend this book and can't wait for the next book!
