Once you experiment, the machine is very easy to use.
I was slightly concerned that the images were not great on the machine. However, when I transferred them into my computer, I was really surprised by the clarity. Much better than on the machine.
It was very easy to insert one slide after another. I did all my slides in 20 minutes. (A few hundred.)
I performed most of my editing on my computer, where I had a much better idea of what the image required.
It was good value for money, as long as you can edit on your computer.
I would recommend the DIGITNOW 22MP Film & Slide Scanner product.
Having said that it is very easy to use and the screen shows what the image file will look like on the computer. I think I scanned about 100 images in maybe 25 minutes including working out how to use it - easy to use and scanned the images very well. For a quick cheaper option it does a very good job and quick to assemble and pack away then you just download the images from the sd card on the computer.
Managed to get a reasonable result, but only fairly satisfied, not delighted with the result.
Firstly, the instruction manual is useless and relies on much trial and error to figure out how to load slides. Load and unload is awkward, with alignment of each slide depending on it being pushed into place and aligned by the following slide. Once all slides in a group have been scanned and saved, there is no process to remove to last slide other than removing the tray from the scanner.
Once started, process of scanning and saving is quite fast, and enabled slides to be scanned in less than 30 seconds each.
Final result is only fair with end result slightly out of focus, and no provision to adjust focus.
Overall, yes cheap piece of equipment, and you get what you pay for.
The instructions were mostly confusing and unhelpful. Very happy with this product.
Even managed to scan some old Kodak Disc negatives by not using the supplied templates and inserting the disc directly into the scanner
