This is the second Jack Creed book I have read; I believe this was first in the series, so I thought I'd like to get them into some order. Jack carefully traces clues at the scene of the murder at the manor, after the finding of a body in the cellar. His sharp eyes notice the little things and the eventual solution is one I certainly would never have guessed at - a truly unique reason to kill. The writing leads you along a series of trails at a galloping pace designed to make you want the story to keep going. I read it in a couple of evenings, and have become quite a fan. I know I'll pick up another Jack Creed novel soon. nb. Wrong! This isn't the first book, so I have another to read to get into order. Looking forward to it.
