Product Description

I've never been one to follow the rules...or the law, for that matter. But when you find yourself behind bars and being offered the opportunity of a lifetime, you take it. I agreed to race motorcycles for Johnny Knight. A very powerful man who wanted me on his team, even knowing I was a liability. But will he still feel that way once he finds out that I had a one-night stand with his daughter? I didn't mean for it to happen. I didn't even know who she was until she walked into his office wearing my shirt from the night before. Too bad that was all she wanted-one night. It really didn't matter who she was, I wanted more. So when she ran, I followed. I should have let her go. That would have been best for both of us. But I have never done what was right, why start now? I've always been willing to take a risk, no matter what it would cost me. And I knew she was worth it all.

I'm Erik Dashling, you can call me Dash. This is my story of how I willing risked one dream for another. But everyone knows that not all dreams come true.

✰✰✰ 5 STAR REVIEW ✰✰✰

Erik Dashling aka Dash, was a 22 year old gorgeous man that lived by his own rules. He knew he wanted to race and he was happy but when he lands a deal of his lifetime with no other than Johnny Knight famous retired car racer. But his life would not only change due to his contract but when Tabatha Knight enters his life.

Tabatha Knight had finally ended her relationship with her abusive boyfriend and she was not ready to enter another one yet when she wakes up from her drunken night she never imagined her life would take a whole different course.

Dash and Tabatha will have to face many obstacles to find their happy ending but will that be possible to do? It seems that everyone and everything is against their relationship, how strong is their love for one another to accomplished what they both want and need?

Oh my, never in my time did I expected Dash to be this intensed. I never saw this coming and after finished it am still trying to recover from this story.

I love how a book leaves you in a daze, and trying to recover from it, I can count with both hands how many time a book has done that and Dash, definitely has left an imprint on me. If you are looking for a book with so much passion and an unexpected twist this book is for you. Believe me you don't want to miss it.

Loved loved loved Dash. There were times I thought Shantel would write typically like when Mr Knight tells Dash to do what ever it takes. I thought oh no he's going to lie to her. And I was very pleseantly surprised that he was honest with her.
I tell you I wanted to shake them both numerous times throughtout the story. And my heart broke at the end. I cried and my heart was still hurting till the very last word, but I was so glad I'd read it.

From page one I was drawn in. I could not put it down.

One very fateful night he gets arrested and this is a game changer for him, He meets a man that changes EVERYTHING for him. There is only one rule that Mr. Knight requests that Dash follow. Follow the rules....Easy rnough right?.....Nope

4.0 out of 5 stars Erik "Dash" Dashling - Reckless, Dangerous, and Smoking Hot 1 July 2015
By The Fairest of All Book Reviews - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Erik "Dash" Dashling will have readers panting for more and wondering what this reckless and dangerous man will do to not only keep a job that's made for him but the girl he's willing to break all the rules for after only one night together.

Dash is definitely an interesting character. He's lived his life on the edge, following his own rules, and while his inability to follow the law should get him into a whole heap of trouble, he always finds a way out of it with his smooth talking and deep pockets, and this time around, it might just land him a career where he can use his adventurous side to put him on top. Tabatha is a work in progress. She's a smart mouthed and strong willed woman who fell for the wrong guy and ended up becoming someone she didn't recognize. But that's the past, and now she's all about reclaiming her old self and putting her needs above all else.

Both Dash and Tabatha have a lot at risk by not only putting their hearts on the line, but giving into a relationship that is not as open and honest as it should be, and because secrets always have a way of coming out, deception can lead to catastrophic events, which seems to be where Dash and Tabatha are headed as the story continues, both individually and as a couple, due to outside players and their vendettas against the hot couple, which spells trouble for their relationship and even Dash's career.

There's multiple factors to consider in Dash and Tabatha outing their relationship to the public eye and with Tabatha's insecurities and Dash's risky profession, nothing is cut and dry and the risks they face might be too much for them to endear, especially when the hits just seem to keep coming.

Tabatha and Dash are great characters and their banter and hot connection truly fly off the page, but they definitely frustrated me throughout the story, especially Tabatha. I know she's been hurt, and she's hesitant to start another relationship, but she cuts and runs over any issue, and I don't blame Dash for being frustrated. Do I condone some of his acts, absolutely not, but Tabatha needs to understand his side of the situation as well and that doesn't seem to happen throughout much of the text.

Dash is an angsty, emotional journey for not only the main characters but the readers as well. A lot of miscommunication and jumping to conclusions hinder the progress Dash and Tabatha make in their relationship and others' interference also complicates matters, but Shantel proves how much they belong to each other, heart and soul, regardless of the obstacles.

4.0 out of 5 stars I cried, and I never cry. I hate to cry, but how could I not reading this book! 30 September 2015

OMG! This story broke my heart in more ways than one, but I loved it just as hard as it damaged my heart.

For the last year, Tabatha Knight has been in a relationship that has caused her to lose who she once was. Now that the relationship has ended she is determined to find the woman she once was and starts the journey with a fun night out with her friends.

Erik Dashling seems to always find himself in some kind of trouble that results in him behind bars. One typical day he finds himself behind bars and bailed out with the opportunity of a lifetime at his feet. To celebrate he throws a party and in the mist of things meets an incredible woman who he can’t get out of his head. However, this same woman could be the one woman that can end his dreams in an instant.

The love story between these pages is very realistic in the sense that every relationship has their issues and DASH is not in short supply with testing the relationship between Tabatha and Dash. The relationship issues are completely relatable and even with the factor of Dash being an up and coming sensation in his motorcycle career in the mix. It’s not everyday that a relationship forms out of a drunken one-night stand.

The story not only has a love story, but it has a little mystery and suspense intertwined into the story that is always in the background. Not so far back that you forget about it, but right on the edge that you are left trying to figure it out before you find out because it’s just enough to nah at your brain. The mystery in itself is a little predictable, I think maybe the outcome could have been more of a shocker, but it still adds to the storyline.

What I found refreshing is that even though Dash has a talent for motorcycle racing he doesn’t belong to a MC. I love MC books, but not every character that rides a bike needs to belong to a brother hood of bikers. So it was nice for it to be more down the lines of a sport instead of a lifestyle in the sense.

In the beginning I mentioned that this book broke my heart in more ways than one and that is because while reading this lovely book I got that feeling in my chest multiple times that resembles getting your heart wrenched out, or you know something serious is about to happen. You hold your hand to your chest, your heart clenches, you hope for the best, or you’re on the verge of tears. It’s just a world wind of emotions. Just be warned that the ending might leave you unsatisfied. I felt like there had to be more to come and that maybe it just didn’t end right. But nonetheless I still really enjoyed reading Dash and will most likely find myself diving back into the pages for another dose.

Where oh Where do I begin with this one. Dash is the first book I have read by Shantel Tessier and I loved it. Her writing reaches out and grabs the reader from the very first page and doesn't let go.

Erik "Dash" Dashling lives for speed. He rides hard and crazy and parties just the same. When one last stunt lands him in the slammer again, he is given a get out of jail free card if he will sign with Johnny Knight and race motorcycles for him. Something that has always been his dream. Not only does he get out of jail, but he can no longer party, drink or mess around. Dash decides that he needs one last hurrah before he starts to work for Mr. Knight. He decides to throw himself a party, where he meets a pretty amazing girl, only to find out the next day that she is the daughter of his new boss.

Tabatha Knight has just broken up with her boyfriend. She can no longer stand for the way he is treating her and she needs to learn to stand on her own two feet and be the strong independent woman that her father raised her to be. To put Rodger in her past she decides to attend a party with her best friend, only to find herself doing the walk of shame the next morning and to make matters worse the guy shows up at her parents house.

Tabatha and Dash share an undeniable chemistry and try as they may to hide their feelings for one another, it just doesn't seem to work that way. With the odds stacked against them and their ex's causing havoc in their lives, they try to keep their relationship a secret, but that can only last so long.

When Dash wins his first big race it see,s that they have their entire future ahead of them. But will the demons of both their pasts stay away long enough for them to carve out a future together or will it be the end of something so strong, that their love for one another cannot even save?

I love Shantel's writing style and her character development is great. I didn't want this book to end. The supporting characters are awesome and the story held my attention. Dash and Tabatha's story is filled with learning to love and let go and to accept the cards that life throws at you plowing ahead to build a future no matter how hard it may be. Go and grab your copy of Dash today, you won't be disappointed.

1.0 out of 5 stars SPOILER -- Not a HEA 1 September 2015

I have never written a review - let alone, a negative one -- but I was so very upset by the ending of this book, that I felt the need to warn people that this is definitely NOT a HEA. If it upsets you to get all wrapped up in a story only to have the last chapter knock you for a loop, don't purchase this story!
