Either the proof reading is amiss or many of the recipes haven't been tested on a small scale in a western domestic kitchen. There's a "rich" lamb curry that calls for 70g of chilli powder, a pumpkin curry pictured as a mound of tender pumpkin with a little sauce clinging to it while the recipe calls for just 200g of pumpkin and a litre of coconut milk - that's a soup, surely? I cooked the Kerala lamb curry, last night, which was delicious but would have not been the dry curry it was meant to be if I had added all the water asked for.

Also love the fact they are country specific and also a few from the Caribbean and Africa too. plus the bonus of "British" curries such as chicken tikka and korma etc.
Exceptional value for a huge, weighty classy looking cookbook.
