This board is the first that I have that has the recyclable parts and composite top and it is the sleekest of the three so far. Students were excited to try it out and I even find myself using it at my standup desk to help me get my work done. I have never felt in danger or worried about someone falling and students and other staff all use it respectfully.
The range of motion actually makes my body feel better when I come home after work as I am less sedentary. I have noticed a difference in my energy levels and the ability to focus for several of the students who no longer see it as a toy but as a tool to help them focus. Grades haven't been better in a long time (I swear it!).
Try it out with a stand up desk. You won't be disappointed.
The one drawback is that you're still standing on both feet. I've found I can only use it for about 15 minutes before my feet get tired and I need another posture. Then I shift to a textured mat with bumps and edges, which lets me take weight mostly off of one foot, then the other. So it's just one tool among others.
I had it at home for a couple weeks before I brought it in to work, and I loved standing on it at the sink washing dishes; I definitely got less tired standing. I would also stand on it while watching TV. It was more lively at home on the wood floor than at work on the industrial carpet, but it is still fine at work.
Update: I've had it over a year now and I still love it. When I'm standing at my desk, I'm standing on this.
