INTERVIEW WITH THE AUTHOR:
Q – Where did you get the idea for this book?
A – Like most books I write, this one began with a taboo sensual fantasy I had in my head that I just HAD to write down. It involved an office romance between a wealthy, alpha boss and his employee. Well, after I wrote that one down, then I had another deliciously naughty scene in my head—and then another and another!! But then, beyond the sensual scenes, I started to really think about these characters. Suddenly the boss had a billionaire business rival and competitor. The more I fleshed out these three people, the more the story began taking on a life of its own, getting darker and more twisted. Because what if the boss wasn’t a good man? What if, instead, it was the RIVAL who was the bad boy romantic hero, also alpha and dominant, but with a troubled past that made him determined to save the heroine? The more I stirred the pot, the more the action turned and took corners I never expected.
Q – Why should I read this book?
A – I write the kind of books I love to read, which is dark romantic erotica. I want stories that steam things up in the bedroom but not if those scenes don’t go hand in hand with three-dimensional characters, can’t-stop-flipping-the-pages suspense, and quality writing. I like alpha males, occasionally some BDSM, contemporary, urban settings, and fiction where women can be strong while also exploring all sides of their sexuality. My favorite books are ones that dare to go into the darkest and most taboo places in the human psychological experience, leaving you wrung out on the other end.
