1.0 out of 5 stars Worked great! Only for 6 Months LOST ALL DATA
By Sudama D. on 15 May 2021
Great speed! Once Installed with genuine copy of windows. It worked awesome on the computer. My Laptop felt like a beast! Until one day, mid work i got a blue screen of death. Stopcode DPC Watchdog violation. And that was it. Windows GONE, All my work for the past week, GONE. Lucky I regularly backup, otherwise I'd lose way more Data. Took the drive to a proffessional data recovery specialist. He said the drive was a goner. I was thinking of recommending this drive. But now after all this I'm more likely to spend the extra cash on a samsung evo. more of my friends have had those, and even if they failed. They were able to salvage the data on them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Extraordinarily slow write speeds - worse than SATA SSSD
By N Gardner on 23 September 2021
Cloned my windows 10 install to this from an entry level SATA SSD and noticed that there were periodic glitches in gameplay so re-enabled the SATA and found they disappeared. Did some more testing and found (as per photo) that the write speeds can be catastrophically slow. This turned out to be a combination of QLC memory (slow/less reliable) and no DRAM cache on this very cheap 1TB drive. It's not broken, just really really cheap. I wish I had done more reading before purchasing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Leider kein TLC-NAND mehr verbaut
Reviewed in Germany on 23 June 2021

Eigentlich schade.

1.0 out of 5 stars Quite slow, QLC and no DRAM
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 March 2021
It has a basic controller (Phison E13), no DRAM and Micron 96L QLC NAND, so it's quite slow. The uSLC cache is small and after a few GB of writes it will start writing direct-to-NAND, which will lower write speeds all the way down to ~65MB/s on the 1TB version.
Pretty disappointing overall since I expected more from Crucial, even a larger game update will completely bog the drive down, it's just not great compared to alternatives.

1.0 out of 5 stars "El timo de la estampita" Billete == TLC / Estampita == QLC

We encourage Micron to be more transparent about their controller and NAND choices and especially any post-launch changes.

Sending out faster TLC drives for review, then releasing versions with QLC under the same product name at a later date seems rather shifty.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed!!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 July 2020
The first one failed on cloning and the replacement is slow. Yes, the benchmark shows it as quick compared with the Crucial MX500 SSD, but in real life it's not as quick. I think I should have stayed with the MX500. My system: MSI Z390-A Pro with a 3.70 gigahertz Intel Core i5-9600K processor and 16GB of ram, so not a bad setup, not the best I know, but generally, for my purposes, it skips along OK. But not with the P2. I'm thinking about taking it out and reverting back to the MX500. What a waste of money. Very Disappointed!!
