Great Story29 July 2017 - Published on Amazon.com
Another excellent Christopher Nicole book. I am looking forward to reading the next 2 books in the series .I've read many books by C. Nicole and they are all great reads. Crimson Pagoda is no different.

Real Action Book15 July 2015 - Published on Amazon.com
I loved the historical references woven throughout the entire book. It's sad to know that little to nothing has changed to make people more human.
Liked it so well, I Immediately acquired the 2nd in the China Series & read it - and liked it too.25 November 2017 - Published on Amazon.com
Good writing. Well developed main characters, though some with lesser roles actually have the more nuanced & complex characters. Not quite literature, but edging close, and makes the history & politics of China of the period come alive (with what degree of accuracy, I can't say - seems researched, but surely considerable artistic license is taken). Lots of plot twists, action, drama, romantic interest(s); formidable heroine, multiple "male leads." Some windows onto the Boxer Rebellion, the Ching dynasty, the Chinese as differentiated from the Manchu, the Christian Missionary incursion into China - and all this without any tedious bogging-down of plot or story [quite a feat!]. A few bits of plot-driving action - like two young Caucasian women "storming" into The Forbidden City & coming out better than alright - require some suspension of disbelief, BUT are so well carried-out by the author, that they become credible in context. Altogether a riveting and exciting yarn, presented by an author who can deliver the whole with smooth flow & excellent craftsmanship.
Such rich words come thru this author's imagination onto paper and into these books!26 November 2017 - Published on Amazon.com
What a great book! The characters could have jumped off the pages and rubbed elbows with real people. I never heard of the Boxers and had no idea what it would have been like in China during this time period. I'm glad to have read it, not lived it as I don't believe I would have been as courageous as any of the characters. Thank you author for putting this in K.U. or I definitely would not have even noticed it, let alone read it. Good job... now I want to read the other 2 in the series.
