After years of pool swimming with snorkeling fins and starting to injure ankles and place too much force through (an arthritic) lower back, I invested in these fins. They are fantastic...fit perfectly (so take the time to measure your foot and align it with the right size fins). But they are light, comfortable, easy to put on and off, and perfect for pool swimming. I love them!!
I always think feedback on sizing is most useful for this type of product and as a 6.5 female shoe size I read reviews and took advice not to go ‘bigger’ so opted for 39/40 (5.5-6.5) and they fit me perfectly. Very comfortable, toes just peeping through and supportive around heel. Feel sturdy and well made. Main advantage of these fins is they are small & lightweight - perfect for packing for my trip to Ningaloo Reef. Not tried in water yet so further feedback to follow but so far very pleased with purchase.
Having used longer fins for the past 50 years (:o) ) it did take several lengths in the pool to get used to the slightly diferent leg action required for short fins. I not only bought them for pool training but also for snorkeling. They are very good for training and (personally feel) they are a good compromise for snorkeling (if travelling and you have to decide to pack these or nothing! They are much smaller and lighter than long fins!). Although for snorkeling you will have to kick more rapidly than with longer fins and therefore not good to use if you are going to be in an area with strong currents. I am a UK shoe size 2 1/2 - 3 (35), but on reading the reviews bought a size smaller 33/34 (1/2) and they are a perfect fit and very comfortable.
Really comfortable, they have a good size for a swimming pool and they are good to practice. I would rank them number 4 from 1(lowest) to 10 (hardest) in the amount of force required to use them due to their fin size. this is perfect for swimming (just swimming as in a pool) and training. I would not recommend them if you are doing deep water sports as scuba diving since the fins are not big enough quality is awesome and they look professional.
