Okay, we all have our horror stories of school and those times which we were gawky and immature, but I believe those that were hounded by bullies, werepossibly those that were scared for life. This book looks at the interaction of the bully (Nora) and her victim (Brendan ) when they are caught in a bazaar twist of fate, which does not disclose Nora's identity, until they get to know each other, through texted messages and insane scary costume haunted house scenes. As Nora realizes, her whole self had shifted through a number of remakes, to who she was now. She , herself, could look at herself at 13 and cringe at the hurt and sarcasm she had spewed back then. The thing is, could those she had tormented forgive her?? This is another different again sort of story, from this writer, although her quirky subject matter is fantastic, and enlightening to the reader.
I enjoyed this story of a girl who used to be mean in middle school but has regrets now, and is a different person, meeting up with one of her victims who is now sexy and geeky. They get together over a Halloween season. The whole story made me smile.
