These markers are good, they work ok on darker surfaces and you do get "glitter" although the glitter isn't quite the same thing as regular glitter. It's more like specks of silver, basically it just sparkles silver instead of true glitter and the light has to hit it right. I wanted to use these on my calendar which is a light brown or dark tan glossy surface to highlight birthdays but you can hardly see the marker color or glitter so I ended up using the Sharpie silver marker to make it stand out.
I've posted photos to help out.
I think they're great for writing in cards, although people have said they're more like pens, I disagree you definitely get a line thicker than a pen but thinner than standard marker. For those of you hoping like I did these could be used for craft projects, they don't replace products like Stickles or Martha Stewarts glitter for detailed work.
I do wish the colors were a bit more vivid, they seem a bit dull to me also my purple doesn't work well both the liquid ink and glitter don't come out as well as the other colors.
