Product Description

Patrick Gallagher’s future was mapped out—and it didn’t include Amy Henderson or the IRA.

She was everything he’d never wanted. Too young. Too naïve.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t help but be fascinated by the girl who took refuge in his old bedroom, staying with his mum more often than not.

She looked like a Renaissance painting and argued like a solicitor. He couldn’t resist her, and before long he didn’t even want to.

Instead, he loved her unreservedly… then he married her.

But he couldn’t have prepared for what happened after.

Actions, no matter how large or how small, have consequences—and when the IRA comes knocking, he’s sucked into a life that he’d never anticipated.

Choices were made.

Hearts were broken.

Trust was shattered.

Lives were lost.

Through it all, he loved her.

It was a love that spanned decades.
Epic.
Intense.
Unquestionable.
Unbreakable.

Warning: This book is meant for readers over 18 years old and contains scenes that depict torture and sexual assault.

Exceptional story with beautiful characters.
I highly recommend this read.
The best so far in the series and can easily be read as a stand alone.

I just had to go back and update this review. I re-read this series prior to reading the new book in the Aces Sons series and even though this was the third time i've read this particular book I was again completely blown away. I think on reflection now this would have to be my number 1 book ever read - and I've read a lot, specifically within this genre. I so loved Patrick and Amy. I don't think i've ever cried so much reading a book - even though I knew the story. I really connected with this book and these amazing characters. Nicole Jacquelyn has such a gift. Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful and heartbreaking souls. I will forever remember this book.

I am seriously hating and loving this book. Of course the whole series has been amazing and i've loved reading every word, but Nicole Jacquelyn kills me every book.

This book spans over quite some time and as we have got story lines in the present, i find it really hard and sometimes frustrating having to go 'back in time' to get the story or Poet and Amy.

Holding true to the series, this story was beautiful and ugly at the same time. I hated and loved the characters equally!!!

You must read this series in order and I can't wait to go back and read all the books again.

Oh man! This one has been on my "currently reading" list for quite some time (I am DEFINITELY influenced by covers!) and I just haven't been able to bring myself to read it.

But I started it today (while cringing at the 52 chapters- hoping they'd be quick/ short ones) and WOW! This is my first book by Jacquelyn- I WILL NOT be my last. I am sooooo glad the chapters weren't short or quick!

Not since Sheehan have I read a biker book I loved reading! This was intense and wickedly so. I cried a few times. The writing was just awesome and even though the characters were so far from perfect it made me want to choke someone - the writing was just INTENSE. I LOVED IT!

I am sooooo pleased I read this one before reading anyone of the others (for who knows what reason) because I loved this story. Patrick was insanely annoying and insanely real and I loved that about him. I really really wanted to smack him up the side of the head repeatedly and I loved him and hated him in equal measures throughout the book. He was so frustratingly stupid at times but wonderful in others.

Amy was incredible... ly naive in the beginning and that was believable- she was seventeen. But she grew up and she had a tough tough life but she worked it all out in the end and I am glad she did because she deserved it.

I just loved the writing and the character development in this one. It was intense (have I already mentioned that?) and it worked perfectly for me. I don't know that I would want to read it again but it was a great great read for me. Five stars.

WOW I was so absorbed in this book. I laughed & I cried (big fat ugly tears that scared my kids lol) Patrick pissed me off with is stupidity but in the end he redeemed himself & Amy was your typical naïve girl who turned into a cracker of a women & showed her inner beauty. Loved Loved Loved. Thanks for an awesome read Nicole :)
