“EK Blair brought me back to the swoony days of first love with Crave, but it was the depth and layers of this story that kept me turning the pages. Tender, sexy, and unputdownable—it will leave your heart pounding." -Jessica Hawkins, author of Something in the Way--This text refers to the hardcover edition.

Adeline is a sweet and innocent young adult who is dealing with her own stresses in life. She has to grow up rather quickly when she is being outcastes from her family and also in the light of Kason's confession's.
E. K. Blair has done a fantastic job in highlighting the daily struggles that a sex addict faces and in bring this addiction to everyone's attention. I really loved the characters that she created for the story. Kason, Adeline, Micha and Trent are all really relatable and most of all loveable.
Fantastic Job E.K. Blair!!!! I absolutely love this story!! Crave: part 1 is a sweet new adult love story with a substantial story line. E.K. isn’t a new author to me, so I’ve been beyond excited for this new one and it was just what I needed. Great story, great characters; so well defined I felt as if I knew them personally. We laughed, cried, struggled together through this journey and I’m so ready for the next one!!!
Kason is a sweet and loveable character that struggles internally with something that is so sad, embarrassing to him and he feels so much shame because of it. My heart broke for him so many times, I could feel him hurting and I hurt with him. I’m impressed with the progress he makes throughout the book as he deals with his condition, not just being honest with Adaline but, with himself as well. I understand the conflict within him as he struggles to come to terms with and figure out how to manage his addiction as well as his concern of how it may affect her. His love for Adaline is so pure and good, truly beautiful.
Adaline, this girl deserves a hug and a medal for strength. She is so innocent at the beginning of this book and has had to grow up so fast not just with Kason but other family situations. I am so proud of her acceptance of his difficult addiction and her willingness to really listen and support him. Her love for him is so strong and true, so intense. I’m hurting for her right now, wondering about the next step in their journey. I'm thinking it's going to be a long road for them and I’m curious to see how she handles her own request for honesty and allowances for help when you need it. She has such a great support group if she will trust and allow them to help.
I can’t wait for book two, I seriously couldn’t sleep last night; it was all I could think about. Thank you E.K. Blair for giving me an amazing story that was full of love and feels, even those that didn’t feel too good. I'm so happy you shared Kason and Adaline’s emotional love story; I’ll be sitting here impatiently waiting for the next one.

I haven’t ever read a book like this. It is so utterly amazing with a difficult and underrated topic. It’s really great how E.K. Blair managed to describe Kason’s addiction so great. How he struggled and everything Kason and Adaline had to go through. It is really an amazing story with a great meaning and even more emotions. Yes, Crave is something different and it’s really refreshing to read a book like this. It is beautiful and heartbreaking. I am so in love with Kason and Adaline I couldn’t put the book down. Seriously I think I’ve never read a book this fast. I started with book one and when I finished it I continued book two right away. Definitely one of the best books I’ve ever read.
Love Kason & Addy, even though Kason has hurdles to over come I couldn't help but root for him. His earlier years made me sad at times. They are very sweet together...need book two now.
This title could not be more appropriate for this book and on so many levels. I was so excited for book because I love E.K. Blair and her writing. It has always captivated me so I could not wait to get my hands on this book. I will say I am typically not a fan of books with young adults as I struggle to relate to the characters for some reason. However, I did not let that deter me and I so very glad I didn’t.
This is the story of Kason and Ady (Adaline). From the moment they meet there is a mutual attraction, chemistry and a click between the two of them. This story navigates their relationship and what ends up being a few complex issues, twists and turns. I truly loved the characters and all of their layers. I appreciated the love and journey Kason and Ady went on. There is something to be said for first love and the magic it entails. The trials and tribulations and everything in between.
E.K. Blair has always been a favorite author of mine and is on my must one click list. I find her words draw you in and wrap themselves around you. You have no choice but to keep reading and be entranced by the story she is telling you. It was no different with this story. I think she is a brilliant writer and time and time again I get lost in her words. This is a book you will want to read. Take your time with it. Savor it. And watch the magic that happens with first love. There are some unexpected topics and things that happen in this book and I love that E.K. sprinkles those elements into her books.
I happily give this book 5 stars and can’t wait for the conclusion of this one. In fact I am craving it!!
I will read the next one, I am a sucker for a cliff hanger, but not looking forward to it.
I think I would have been more prepared for this one if I had know it was more of a young adult type and nothing like E.K.'s other books. Not sure why she felt she needed a cover change. I think the first one suited the book more.
As I began reading Crave- Part One it became clear that this book was not what I was expecting. In fact it begins as a Mature Young Adult novel touching upon subject matter that is very rarely written in any romance novel let alone in the Mature Young Adult / New Adult genres. How she handled the subject matter impressed me because it was delivered without the usual preconceived notions or any form of judgement. She clearly gave her readers an honest view of how this type of addiction affects a person physically and emotionally, She also gives the reader the perspective from the other side, from the person closest to them and how they deal with someone affected by this problem.
The pleasant surprise is that it is not all there is to this story. Crave Part One is a beautiful love story filled with those special wonders of first love. From the insecurities to the consuming passion, she reminds readers how wonderful first love is. She captured the true teenage spirit, with all the inexperience of mature relationships to the naivety that love can fix it all. It’s something none of us ever forget and will always cherish.
Once again that is not all there is to the story but rather a fragment of it. Crave- Part One is the first part of a duet and is going to span the college years and adult years. It’s only the beginning.
I fell in love with Kason and Adeline. They were both bright young people with good heads on their shoulders. They both were surviving the lives they were born into and suffered from some form of parental neglect. Although their lives were vastly different and their reactions were different, they found a common ground that brought them together. Adeline was lucky because she had one supportive parent that was a positive influence on them both. Aside from their homelife, they built a solid, normal teenage relationship that was pretty healthy until it wasn’t. Where these two wonderful kids go from here is the beginning of their life journey that tests their inner strengths and need to hang onto each other no matter what. Their stormy journey is just beginning. Their lives are just beginning to shatter. Their hearts are going to be shredded into a billion pieces. I have complete faith in E.K. Blair, I know she will rebuild these two into strong adults with hearts made of steel but full of love.
This title is so appropriate for this duet. The moment a reader begins the first book they will CRAVE more. I can’t wait for Crave- Part 2 to release in October.
series, you’ll fall in love with this duet.
Different and Unique. Blair knocks it out of the park with this emotional and at times,
The simplicity of young love from the outside looking in seems easy, simple, uncomplicated-but
is always that way? Life experiences change people and how we react.
We live our lives blinded to the struggles most face behind closed doors. It’s whether or not we
choose to accept what those hide in the darkness or walk away.
