My review differs from the majority as really couldn't get into this. I had no problems with Lucia but Callum, perhaps portrayed his character too well that I didn't take to him. They talk about whiny 😫 women but the constant & repetitious mention of his urges was too much. Well we did find that out eventually but with all the build up it fell flat for me.
There's a suspenseful aspect but it was a bit obvious to me. Although one person not so much.
Overall it really didn't grab me.

A really enjoyable read; I loved that Lucia was such a strong character. Interesting plot line, not too heavy and dark (it had the right balance of romance and mystery as well for me).

Callum and Lucia a match made in heaven. This story had me captivated. Every book I've read by BJ I have loved and this is no exception. Will there be more??

I've had this book on my shelf for a while now, and have been meaning to start catching up with my BJ Harvey books, having only read One Shot so far. It took me a little while to get into this, but that could also be because end of year burnout is definitely something hitting me right now.
This is more than just a romance novel. Theres a mystery hidden behind everything as well, and whilst I was pretty sure who the culprit was that was doing these things, and I was right when it was revealed, I didn't expect some of the other revelations that occurred.
One thing that annoyed me was how Callums "craving" kept getting mentioned without any hint at all of what it was. I was getting to the point where I was like "dudeeeee I just wanna know, stop this right now!" - but once the actual craving is revealed - holy moly it was a lot larked than I was expecting.
Whilst the events that take place with this revelation were not intended, I don't know if I could be as forgiving as Luce if I was in her position. I really liked her was a strong female lead though, and she didn't take crap from anyone. It was great.
Callum was a pretty likeable main male lead, but I would also like to get to know more about Grant. I definitely think he needs his own book!
All in all this was a great read and I would recommend.

Crave has an absolutely killer start "Another event, another night spent wearing my well-worn mask" - hooked me straight away and didn't let go until the very end.
I was drawn in immediately to the main character's point of view - a man - Callum Alexander. A stand out in his field of architecture, he's now a "d-list celebrity" who has to keep up appearances to ensure his firm - run with his best friend Grant - remains in a positive light and his work is seen equally as positive(new word). Callum doesn't let many people see the man behind the mask - Grant and his family are the only ones - and women to him are there to satisfy his physical urges, nothing more.
That is until he meets Lucia, a woman who intrigues Callum from the get go. The sexual tension between the two of them emanates of the page - to the point that you can almost touch it. And then there's hints towards what Callum truly craves...something he feels is so depraved that a woman will never be able to handle it. (Yes it will be revealed and no I won't hint at all to what it is)
BJ Harvey has again written a book quite different from her well known Bliss and Game series. This is sexier, darker and told entirely from the male perspective, giving a different insight into relationships. What looks initially to be an erotic romance novel, ends up creating a great deal of suspense and BJ has created a story that I could barely put down. I wanted to know so much more about Callum and I was in no way disappointed. Yes this book has themes that may shock you but I assure you that if you stick with it, your shock will be replaced with admiration and awe for the incredible story that BJ has written.
This is five stars - its shocking, its full on, its sexy and it's dark ... and it won't let you go until the very end.

I finished reading this book a couple of days ago, but I've found it difficult to write this review... I mean how do you put into words how much you've FLOVED a piece of writing?? How much you fell in love with the characters?? When all the usual words, just don't feel like enough?? I'll try...
This is my first time reading ANYTHING by B.J. Harvey, (I know.. I can't believe it either) I went in & quickly found myself intrigued by Cal, our leading male, he wore his mask so carefully. His best friend, Grant helped lighten him, ever so slightly, but the mask only seemed to hold fast... that is until a chance meeting acharity ball. Lucia is everything Cal hasn't seen in a while.
There was so much going on within this book, but B.J. exceeded any expectations I had when first opening this book. It was dark when needed, there were secrets that kept you guessing until B.J. was ready for you to learn just what it was. The rollercoaster of emotions, twists & turns all throughout this book, pulled you in, leaving you breathless & waiting til the next twist or secret.
So yeah, I'm not sure this is enough, or even makes sense, but I really did FLOVE this book & plan to read B.J. Harvey's other books in the future.

Sexy suspenseful read!! Loved it!!

I'm a huge huge fan of BJ Harvey and her rom-com Game series and Bliss series so with this book being a different genre I had no idea what I was letting my self in for. It's definitely a darker read full of suspense and full of the hot stuff that this lady does best!
Callum is an architect who's extremely addicted to his work. He's created the perfect facade that never falters and is always perfectly composed. I couldn't be more happy about the lady to chip away at the walls he'd put up. Lucia wasn't you're usual pushover heroine by any means! She was confident, strong, sassy and sexy. The story was well written and I totally consumed this all in one go. I loved it!
I was so eager to find out Callum's deep dark secret and when I did I can say I honestly didn't see it coming.
BJ Harvey has outdone herself yet again and I couldn't recommend this book enough.

This story was great. I loved the bond they had. The story line for me was a little predictable but it doesn't diminish it in anyway. I hope we see more this duo in Grants story.

Callum was a well known architect and it was his duty to show up at some funding while standing their he sees this waitress. He asks for a drink and she told him her name is Lucia. Callum looked at her butt as she walked away. It had been awhile since a women peaked his interest. Callum called Jodi a one nighter to come over so he could satisfy his needs but, he made sure she realizes that a relationship was not going to happen. Callum for the past month has been thinking about Lucia. Callum and Grant decided to go out for dinner at a Greek restaurant they walk into the restaurant and who was the hostess was Lucia. Callum asked her to stop at their table for a drink he fines out she own the restaurant. What’s Callum’s Problem 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

DO NOT START THIS BOOK, UNLESS YOU CAN SIT AND BINGE IN ONE GO!!!!
BJ Harvey does it again!
This is a must read, binge book. From the start you need to know, not want, NEED to know what his problem is.
Callum is so uptight, it’s a shock he hasn’t given himself a heart attack bt chapter 3. He’s spent years carefully constructing this image, the perfect image of the CEO he thinks he should be. It doesn’t matter that he’s hiding his true self behind the intricate and impenetrable mask.
Impenetrable to everyone but Lucia - a waitress who catches his eye.
But when you’re a powerful man, people want to see you fall and that’s exactly what happens to Callum. The blows keep coming out of the shadows and questions are asked...
Will Lucia stand beside him when he’s left naked and exposed for the world to see his flaws?
Will Callum implode as all his secrets are printed in black and white and published in the daily newspaper?
Can Callum’s heart take the stress?
And when will Grant, Callum’s best friend get his own book (cause he’s awesome)
