Product Description

Megan Winters had lusted over Troy Harris, drummer for international rock band Power Station, for years. Not being the type of girl who was invited backstage, her fantasies had stayed just that, fantasies. When her best friend unexpectedly starts dating one of the other band members it puts her on a crash course at war with her libido. Her solution— they need to have sex. Surely once she had scratched that itch, and saw the fantasy didn’t live up to the reality she could move on. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

Troy Harris vowed to stay away from Megs. The sexy, smart and funny blonde left his mind and his body feeling like a pretzel. No matter how attracted he was to her, she was a no-go zone. The best friend of his best friend’s girlfriend? Cue the reality show. But when she gives him the chance to have a one-night no strings good time, there was no way he could turn that down. Maybe she was right. One night, and then they could go back to being just friends.

Both of them were delusional.

Book two of the Power Station series.

I loved Megan and Troy's story. This series is so well written I am having to slow myself down so I don't binge read all the books in one go. This one had plenty of chemistry but also kept the laughs and banter I have come to expect from T Gephart's writing. Highly recommend for someone looking for a smart, funny, hot read.

This is a heart filling and breaking novel all in one. This book to me has a lot more emotional depth than High Strung. The funniest are in full flight and I think for these two characters to get over their hangups and finally be together properly, there needs to be some light heartedness.
Gephart’s writing is a style I really like. It’s fluid, it’s an easy read and it’s thoroughly enjoyable. Crash Ride focuses on the best friend of Ashlyn from book one, Megan Winters. I loved Megan from High Strung. I’m so glad she hasn’t lost any of her wit or neurosis. I love her thought process. She’s quite a deviant but in a non-offensive way.
Megan’s craziness is coupled beautifully with the sweet natured Troy Harris (and shall only be known as Troy Harris). I love how his character was written – he’s rough but tender, sweet but complex. Dare I say it, Troy Harris has elevated himself to one of my favourite rockers. When he finally gets it through his head what he wants, the roles change. He is the one pursuing Megan.
I don’t normally like passive aggressive but Gephart pulls this one off with just enough drama. I love the reappearance of the characters from book one and Dan hasn’t lost any of his attitude and still makes me laugh out loud.
I was a bit blindsided by the developments and enjoyed the high while it lasted. The subject and time frame within the story holds a very close hold to my heart and shared in their devastation. This series is ticking all the boxes for me and my rocker romance desires. Gephart is a new author to me and I’m keen to read more of her works.

Since High Strung was such an amazing read I didn’t think that T. Gephart could keep this standard of writing up. I was greatly surprised that it is just as amazing if not even better. The witty dialogue between the characters, the way the band members interact with each other and their significant others. This is not all a feel good story there is some drama and heartbreak and tear jerking along the way.
Megan Winters has been crushing on Troy Evans the Power Station drummer for FOREVER and after her drunken meeting with Troy and other members of the band in High Strung she was both mortified and extremely embarrassed when she sobered up and realized what she had done. Megs decides the only way to deal with her lustful thoughts and feelings towards him are to act on them and get him out of her system once and for all.
Troy Harris and Megs insists on calling him has wanted Megs since she literally fell at his feet on her drunken night out. Hiding how he feels is hard and he doesn’t want to do anything to upset the dynamics of the friendships as Megs and Ash are best friends and he doesn’t want anything to put anyone in the middle if things go wrong.
I received this ARC for my honest review and I honestly loved this book and I think you will as well

Over the last year, I have become a massive Power Station fan. If they actually existed in our world, I would be one of those fans that lined up to get tickets as soon as they went on sale and have an internet browser history full of searches for "Dan Evans". I absolutely devoured High Strung, loving every single inappropriate and surprisingly sweet moment from Dan and identified with Ashlyn. I really did not think anything could top this book, but found myself getting more and more eager for Crash Ride the closer the release date got. Oh wow, was I in for a treat!

Crash Ride is one of those books that you pick up and do not want to put down because you've completely fallen in love with the characters and the storyline is so engrosing. I had always liked Troy Harris. He was the guy I looked at and thought, yeah, you're a really great guy. Now I look at him and think, "wow Troy Harris, you're not just a great guy, you're also sex on legs!" It is so difficult not to be attracted to him. And then there's Megs. Megs is the type of girl that you just want to be friends with. She's sassy, sexy and absolutely hilarious! The chemistry between the two is palpable, with so much banter and sexual tension, it's no wonder they couldn't stay out of bed...or the floor or the back of the car!

Another aspect that made this book so enjoyable was the introduction of a number of new characters outside of the band. First there is Josh, a sexy, charismatic tattooist who has the potential to become a new favourite and I'd love to see a spin-off series based around the shop. The other stand out is Megs' teenage psych patient, Brad. This kid is something else altogether. He has all the makings for an extremely compelling stand alone book.
