Product Description

Continuing the saga of the men and women of fighter gyms, Beat and Pulse, comes CRASH, the story of a broken woman and her journey of discovery...

Violet Fuller has been through a lot in her short life.
After being viciously attacked, she’s hidden herself away from the world for the past five years, fearing everyone and everything. That’s until the day she finally gathers the courage to go outside.
Violet decides to take a job at Ash’s new gym, Pulse, to reacquaint herself with the male dominated world of MMA. She used to be her brother’s biggest supporter, going to all his matches and cheering him on. There’s no one he trusts more to help him run the admin side of his new business, but when Violet walks through the door for the first time, she sees someone she wasn’t expecting.
Handsome, AUFC fighter, Lincoln Hayes.
The same Lincoln Hayes that she’s had a crush on since she was sixteen.
All muscled, disciplined, hot as hell, six-foot two of him. He’s definitely not a boy anymore.
Things are about to become more difficult than Violet had hoped. So much for easing back into reality.
And Lincoln? He’s only got one thing on his mind.
How do you win over a woman who is afraid of everything?
Simple.
You fight.

Ohh, a feeling of calm washes over me when it comes to this series. This is about the only gym I willingly want to be near but I digress. I have been waiting patiently for a book showcasing these two characters. Violet has held my interest when her harrowing story unfolded in the earlier books. I hanker for stories like this, not for the brutality – but for the character growth.

Violet is the winner in this book. Her circumstances help Lincoln change for the better and I’m keen to see them again in the next book. Beat is getting a face lift and Violet takes great strides to overcome her crippling anxiety.

Lincoln is a great addition to the line-up and I loved seeing the main characters from Beat and Pulse make their appearances. The pacing is fast paced and there’s only one complaint, as soon as one character was introduced, I predicted what was going to happen but it was still enjoyable. In saying that though, Amity’s writing style is something I really enjoy. Witty, clear and concise.

Highly recommend this series.

I was given a copy of this book for my honest opinion.

I was so very excited to get my eyes on this, I love The Beat and Pulse series by Amity Cross. This is Violets story (the lovely Ash's sister). This was well written, I felt like I was joining her on her emotional journey of learning to live again and learning to trust and feel again after suffering such a horrific ordeal. I also loved how Ash and Ren made appearances, their humour and banter is fantastic just what Violet needs to keep her spirits up, but she also needs more! Does Violet find her more? Does Linc succeed in his fight to convince Violet that he is her more? You'll have to read and find out. Amity has knocked it out the park again!! Roll on October for the next book! Another 5 star read!!!
I read this in behalf of A Book Lovers Emporium Book Blog!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic 30 March 2016

Book 3 in the Beat and the Pulse series.
This book was a solid 4.5 stars until the last 6%. The last 6% took this book well past stars.
The emotions that surround Violet and what she went through are so well written. Her brother wants to protect her and always has. He's a fighter and will do anything to protect the ones he loves.
Lincoln has known Violet just as long as he has known her brother Ash. He is an MMA fighter who uses his injury time to show just how good a person he can be.
Every good book has an evil person, and this one has a really good one. Stirring the pot is something she is good at. The trouble this bitch causes will leave you wanting to slap someone.
Leaves you wanting to read more. Thank goodness this series continues.

I loved every story in this series. Now a tale of Violet Fuller and her climb from the tragedy that has made her a recluse, to love that two people have been hiding for years. The violence in Violet's life has ranged from her brother's MMA career to an evil man who raped and degraded her. She lives in her brother's home and rarely leaves it. Lincoln is a champ. He has been fighting professionally for a few years until a shoulder injury has him sidelined for months. So Ash Fuller offers him a job at his newly created gym, Pulse Fitness. Linc jumps at the chance to do anything related to fighting. Little does he know, Ash has his sister helping in the office. Linc and Violet don't realize how the other one feels and dance around each other. Linc makes a stupid decision and uses one of the skanks at the gym to relieve some tension, more than once. Violet hears it and of course flees. Linc has been using her as a fantasy while with the fake skank. He tells her, works hard to win her heart and alleviate her fears. The skank keeps trying to throw her off, she wants Linc, he is disgusted by her and tells her off. Not the last of their problems, for sure. Brilliant book.
5.0 out of 5 stars but I highly recommend you read them all in order 7 February 2016

This is the third book in the Beat and the Pulse series. This one can be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend you read them all in order.

This is Violet's story.

We learned about what happened to Violet, at the hands of Hammer, in the previous book. It isn't pretty.

It's been five years since her attack and rape. She's scared of everything, who can blame her though. She knows she needs to change, she's not living at all.

It all starts with her taking a job at Pulse.

Little did she know, her teenage crush would be there too.

Lincoln is a fighter with the AUFC, but he has a shoulder injury. He took the job at PUlse in hopes of seeing Violet.

Violet isn't the only one with a crush.

"I wake up, and I think about her."
"I come in here and hope I see her. I'm a different person when I'm with her. I'm better, she's better...She's getting stronger. I can see the Violet I remember more and more. Not that we've had the chance to be together."

Violet changes so much in this book. It's not an over night change, it is slow. But we can see all of it. I love how her confidence comes back.

She is such a strong woman. I love this series!

This book had me crying so much. Violet's struggle was so real and it really hit my heart. Linc is gorgeous, but definitely a dumb*ss at the start. It was nice to see him grow emotionally though and become such a great guy. Looking forward to book four of this series, which is downloading to my kindle as I write this!
