Cowboys Don't Buy Their Bride at Auction Jessie Gussman
Roxane was married but her husband was a cheater, so they divorced. She thought she loved him but was heartbroken. They have a son and lived in New York but after her divorce she inherited Sweet Water Ranch, only problem is she must put herself on auction to keep it and it also comes with a great deal of money.
Boone works with his brothers and they go around harvesting farms. His brother just found the love of his life and married her and he meets Roxy at the wedding. They dance and she goes out to catch some air only Boone follows her and they end up in a closet. She takes off because she knows nothing can come of this. Boone waits around for her to come back. You see he is a good guy. He never does something like he has done.
They run into each other at church and talk but she again leaves him before he can get her name. A few weeks later on the day of the auction she realises she is late so she rushes out to grab a test to confirm her suspension. Again Boone is there and this time he purchased her test and waits for the results. He learns he is going to be a father and try’s to talk her into not getting married to who ever she is to wed. He doesn’t know she is up for auction.
He wants to bid on Sweet Water Ranch but know he will have to marry who ever is up for auction with the ranch. She tells him she is up for auction and well.. I’m going to stop because I don’t want to spoil the story.
I enjoyed reading this book. So much I find I was finished the same day as I opened it. I truly hope that there are more like this one.
My disclaimer... I was given a copy of this book for my honest review. Any book or novels I leave reviews on are not dependent on the book/novel review author’s opinion. No one influenced my voluntary review for any of the books or novels I read, they are my own opinions
Another great book in this series but this one has a more serious side.
Roxie and Boone had an instant and undeniable chemistry. Of course they have a rocky start to their marriage but just as things are looking up and their relationship starts to improve something happens that will test those bonds.
This is heartbreak does and can rock the strongest of marriages, will their fledgling relationship survive or will it break them apart.
So worth the read, and a few tears.
I received this as an arc and I am giving my honest review voluntarily
