San Diego and Newspaper Reporting ClassicReviewed in the United States on 21 February 2019
If you are into changes in newspaper reporting. Changes in what interests people or San Diego history, this short collection of stories is a must! Well written by a 1930's waterfront reporter. The book grabs you and takes you on a journey through an interesting group of characters. The message--Look around you. You may be surprised by all the interesting people and their stories. Very quick read!

Journalism once upon a timeReviewed in the United States on 3 January 2021
This delightful memoir of Max Miller describing his work as the waterfront reporter in San Diego was a delight to read. His humility, his sense of humor, and his powers of narrative make this piece come alive! Thanks to Lou McClelland, I had a great afternoon of reading today!
