Incredible world building! The likes of which I rarely see. The plot is fascinating with mysteries, intrigues and betrayal around every corner. Personable characters and lively scenes. Personally, I wasn't fond of how many characters pov's the story is told from. I understand why it was done, but it disrupts the flow of reading for me and it leaves some characters lacking. I am still looking forward to the next instalment.
I hung in there until halfway, but couldn't finish.
This story had the potential to be a good book, but it's very slow and very PG. It jumps from character to character giving you the run down about everything and just got boring. It's also not very original and reminds me of other series I've read. I'm not sure how it's got the high rating.
Book started out decent but the romances were way too quickly developed. You lose respect for the female character when it seems like all they can think about is the guy they are mooning over
Great story great characters finally got to the end!!!! There a few surprises at the end going to be interesting to see where things end up??!! Got book two arc so many tks for that just started reading it looking forward to what happens next??!!

while it is a good read, the fallen "fae" are not fairy but badly human showing all sorts of vices: greed, belligerence, treachery, lust (as opposed to love), xenophobia, racism, alcoholism, etc. I will NOT buy any sequel
