Product Description

Love is the ultimate outlaw.

Although widowed attorney Hope Kendall cares deeply for President of the Lost Kings MC, Rochlan "Rock" North, the truth is they come from completely different worlds. Add to that the fact that they are also both headstrong people, and they have a very rough road ahead of them.

Real love isn't a fairy tale.

For Rock that means introducing Hope to what it really means to be part of his brutal and shady world, where the Lost Kings Motorcycle Club is his main focus. For Hope it means accepting the things she can't change, and understanding that Rock is a man who will do anything to keep her safe.

Love doesn't follow any rules.

As Rock continues to draw Hope deeper into his world, painful misunderstandings, past relationships, and opposition from the members of his club will threaten to drive them apart.

How do a lawyer and a badass biker with a heart of gold keep their love alive while their opposing worlds collide?

Corrupting Cinderella is the second book in the popular Lost Kings MC series. It should be read after Slow Burn. It is a full-length novel with a HFN (Happy for Now) ending.

Really enjoying this series. Love Rock. Really well written. Characters are realistic enough for being a mostly romantic MC story and still a little bit of darkness going on behind the scenes. Has a lot of other characters that have me interested in other books about them too like the murphy/Heidi/axel situation.

I'm really enjoying this series of Lost Kings MC. Rock and his club member are hot and funny, and aren't shy on poking fun at each other. I love the humor in the writing, as well as the feeling of love that characters have for one another. It makes for a very fulfilling read. I'm glad we get to see Wrath's story soon, cannot wait! And i hope there is a book about Heidi, Axel and Murphy!!! Loved it, and you should, too

5.0 out of 5 stars Making it work for the long haul...sex, sass and a whole lot of trouble =) 3 December 2014
By SEB - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
When I read Slow Burn, the first book in the Lost King's MC series, I was so impressed with how the author wrote a biker romance that was refreshingly different, mature and full of well developed and multi-faceted characters. When that book ended we were given an HEA for now ending, because honestly Hope and Rock had such different and opposing lifestyles and backgrounds, that it looked to be almost impossible to make it work out in the long run.
Now with Corrupting Cinderella, we get back to them and it becomes a test of time to see if they will be able to mesh both of their worlds and function as a couple despite all the outside forces that want to keep them apart.
Rock has his faithful club brothers (some who like Hope and others who don't think she belongs with him) and when his very loyal protector Wrath decides Hope is no good for him (because she is a distraction and not able to deal with their lifestyle), he makes no bones about letting her know how he feels. Added into the mix is the pressure of exposing Hope to "life at the clubhouse" and especially the parties, and when Rock finally takes her to one, to see how she can deal with everyone and to officially make his intentions known, she is faced with the harshest mean girls around and especially Rock's EX Inga (hate her!). A lesson as to how some dumb bitches will degrade themselves to get what they want, seems to be the message Hope gets throughout most of her encounters with women from Rock's past, but an unlikely friendship (and alliance) with club property and sweet girl Trinity puts a different spin on things and changes how Hope is looked at by Rock and his crew.
We also read about some rival clubs causing threats, some business partners who want to up their stakes and Hope has some issues with her wild girlfriends and unexpected trouble from clients. A BIG secret that Rock kept from Hope regarding when he "fired" her as his attorney in book 1 comes to light and the truth of why he did it, threatens their relationship and causes more mistrust.
I really loved how this book showed the difficulties of mixing the two worlds together and didn't gloss over the harsh realities or make it seems like a fantasy, and despite the book's title, I don't think that Hope looked at herself as a fairytale princess. I think all women want a man who is protective and caring and although many times Rock behaved in an over-protective "caveman mode", his heart was in the right place and his motives were genuine and coming from a place of love.
This books ends again with an HEA for now, but just like the first book, there are STILL secrets Rock is keeping from Hope about his business affairs and who know what will happen when the truth is revealed...plus I'm hoping for more from Wrath and Trinity. Excellent follow-up and I can't wait for book 3!!
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loving this series soo far ;) 21 July 2016
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

I'd love, love, love to have a man like Rock ;) Ok, maybe not exactly coz Hope is a bit submissive compared to my and my temper at times, and Rock whole attitude of " I'd rather ask forgiveness than permission." Would wear thin/out Damn quick,I can't stunt secrets and lies,I need transparency I any close relationship I have,I mean ok I get for everyone's safety there are things that just CAN'T BE SAID,but that being said his whole "clear" as mud approach and I'll sin now and pay later would piss me off 16 ways from Sunday and I'd be trying to kick his ass to the curb more often that Hope, I mean just be clear about everything you can and be honest about what you can say and don't be so quick to leave me in the dark when/if you didn't need to.... I love how Alpha dog he can be and protective and loving he his and deep he's into her,but all the crisp he keeps from her that he does at times just keep from making waves like sneaking behind back w/the tracking app. ? That shit would have to go,being sneaky can make almost thing look/feel bad,Hope does get my last nerve at times w/her flip/flop do I / don't behavior I'm strong but weak brave but clueless thing ( your with a biker and you often work long hours alone and were attacked, take a damn self defense class or something) geez... I just wish Hope would make her mind who and what she wants to be, claims to be a passionate lawyer one sec, but doesn't really pursue any new clients and resents Rock pushing towards her and resents taking a "free" class she needs to maintain her license to practice law, I mean WTF, or like how she's deeply in love/lust w/Rock and his cock and can't get enough of either but at the same time she's not eager to give her husbands stuff or the house and move on w/her life,it's like the hokey pokey one foot in and one for out... Choose... Rock makes nuts on how crazy in love he w/her yet is Sooo stupid w/how does things.. I'd still love have though just less secrets and I doubt I'm copy the for the MC life ,I love the close knit family feel of things but I couldn't take the violence, lies or danger...
Thanks ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars ~Can't get enough of the LOKI!~ 23 May 2016
By Elizabeth - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Corrupting Cinderella is the second book in the Lost Kings MC Series and the continuation of Rock and Hope's story was full of emotion, heartbreak, action, and love. Now that Hope and Rock are together, can a lawyer and the President of an MC co-exist?

Hope is completely captivated by Rock. His overbearing "take no prisoners" attitude consumes her. As Hope navigates her way through her new "MC LIFE", she questions her ability to be the woman that Rock needs her to be. Some of Rock's brothers are less than thrilled to have a civilian lawyer hanging around the club. Additionally, there are plenty of Rock's former flings hanging around to remind Hope that she is out of her league.

Rock is head over heels in love with Hope. He is battling his loyalty to his club and his love for Hope. It is evident that he must make some decisions on how to balance both. One thing is certain, Rock and Hope are madly in love and he will kill anyone that tries to take her away from him. But can he break down the walls that Hope herself has put up? With Rocks love and devotion for Hope, anything is possible!

Told in dual POV, Corrupting Cinderella was a stunning addition to the series. I loved the internal battle that Hope and Rock had to face. The pacing was packed with action, drama, tenderness, and steamy sex! (YES!!!!) When Hope and Rock are together, their physical connection is explosive! The supporting characters continue to enhance the plot with their witty banter and boisterous behavior. The character connections and loyal bonds are the driving force of this series! To say I have fallen in love with the men of the LOKI MC would be the understatement of the year.

Overall, Corrupting Cinderella is a must read for MC Romance fans! The focus remains on the romance and each moment is captured beautifully. Warning~once you start this series, you will not be able to stop! The natural writing and endearing characters will keep me coming back for more! Bravo Ms. Lake! Bravo!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great second in series 9 June 2015
By Deborah - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
In this, the second book in this series Hope struggles with Rocks world, it's all new to her not only doesn't she know where she stands she doesn't even know the rules of the game but Rock is behind her every step of the way, protecting and helping when he can, even when she doesn't realise or want it, but Rock's not always going to be there and Hope is going to have to find her place in the club if there's any chance at all for the two of them.
Not only does Hope have to find her way in Rocks life amongst the club girls and bikers but she's not used to having a partner who keeps secrets from her, club business is club business and this is difficult for her, she's independent and headstrong but she has a big heart, the question is will this heart ease her way into his 'family' or will it break under the misunderstandings.
Could Rock be the perfect male? he's hot, of course but he's also honest, loyal and faithful and he loves and isn't afraid to show how much he cares and this is so much more refreshing than I expected. The job of introducing Hope into his life is not an easy one and he takes it one step at a time, never lying to her and it can't be easy for him especially when the past keeps jumping up.
My only complaint is that Hope started to annoy me a bit towards the end of the book, I got a little fed up of her running away every time something came up that she didn't like, she's a lawyer and should therefore understand that communication helps, I know it's difficult since at times she feels out of her depth but it's the main reason for the 4 and not 5 star rating.
This is a great book, a beautiful romance, a continuation of their story and like the previous book there's no 'end' as such but also no cliffhanger it just leaves it open for the next book leaving us to decide if we want to continue with them on their journey together or leave them to it.

4.0 out of 5 stars This book is filled with a hot sexy alpha male and a smart spunky woman that make their own HEA together! 9 February 2015
By TSRBR - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Overall Rating: 4.25 Rockin’ ★★★★

I’m not looking for my Prince Charming (but maybe he is mine), I don’t need charming! I need someone who knows how to be honest, true and faithful.

Our love story isn’t a fairy tale...How can a lawyer and a criminal maintain an enduring romantic relationship?

This is the second book in the Lost Kings MC trilogy by Autumn Lake Jones. It continues the story of Hope and Rock. It describes the struggles that they face each day as they try to combine their two very different lifestyles, an outlaw biker and a lawyer.

How do you introduce an innocent to a biker club? One step at time is the decision that Rock makes. He will slowly bring her into his life while keeping her safe from blowback from his enemies. It will not be an easy task since they are both strong, independent people that are accustomed to making their own way in life. Not only are their lives so different but their friends are too. How do you mesh the two together? It will not be easy for either of them and sometimes actions will push them apart.

For Hope being a part of the shady underworld that Rock lives in goes against everything she has sworn to uphold as a lawyer. She is part of the light and most of his dealings are dark. Some of Rock’s brothers in the Lost Kings are concerned about Hope’s loyalty to the club. Will she be able to accept his life? Can she function as a part of club life? Is it possible for her to convince his club that they are meant to be together and she will not betray the club?

Forces at work will try to destroy not only the club but Hope as well. Will Rock be able to keep her safe from the violence and depravity of his world? Can they work together to make their lives fit?

Hero: Rochlan "Rock" North 4 stars
Heroine: Hope Kendall 4 stars
Plot: 4 stars
Steam Level: 5 stars
Cliffhanger: No

Would I recommend this book: Yes! This not your normal Cinderella meets her Prince Charming and they live happily ever after book! It is filled however with a hot sexy alpha male and a smart spunky woman that will make their own HEA together!

Would I recommend this author: Yes! After reading Ms. Jones first book in this trilogy, I was hooked! I cannot wait to read the third and final book!
