Great build up to a strong storyline and well developed characters. The chemistry between Ivy and Cyrus was strong and hot 🥵 I loved the way it evolved and the empathy for the characters was real. Absolutely enjoyed this and recommend. 😊

This story started out interesting enough and with only a minor grammar issue or two, it's written well BUT the problem is the holes within the story, sure there is always as a certain amount of leeway for details or how a person is dressed then suddenly undressed and having sex (I'm giving general examples) but when the story doesn't add up and there are just too many missed parts of details that make up the story then it becomes frustrating. Unanswered questions like why didn’t Cerberus follow Ivy or bark uncontrollably? How can a man who controls and is King of the Underworld not know anything about computers and other relevant tech?
How did Cyrus’s men not see or know the Island was being compromised if they were supposed to be monitored 24/7? Why was it so easy to apprehend Boris? And so on and so on. This story had so much potential but fell short for me.

Really well written, perfect read for me after a series of books I skimmed read, jumping paragraphs and just wanting to get to the end or the point of the book.
Not this one I savored every word. The Greek mythology (which is the backbone of the book) reminded me how rich those stories are. A dog named Cerberus and yes he does guard Hades.
Cyrus takes Ivy after her father loses her in a poker game to a notoriously sadistic villain Boris also known as The Butcher and hides her on his Island. Initially he intends to use her as bait to draw out Boris's boss but as the chemistry grows he struggles with his original intentions.
I really loved everything about this book and thoroughly recommend it.

What an amazing story. I have read a few of this type of book and just give up, they always turn out with a strong girl turns whimpy and strong guy being a DOM and the girl who is not experience just lets him do all this stuff to her. BORING . This story was amazing Ivy never became pathetic she was strong, gorgeous, caring, smart. Loved her. Cyrus was gorgeous, loving, devoted and a great business man, who never wanted to dominate Ivy they were equals. A real good story to read. Should of mentioned the dog at the end though.
Well worth the read.

What started as a bid gone wrong, he stole her to save her but she didn’t know that. Over time she come to see that he wouldn’t hurt her, he saved her life. After time spent with each other they formed a bond. She brought out the man he was under the darkness. Till she is kidnapped and he calls in all favours to get her back. But then he lets her go to see if she will come back to him.
Narration was awesome too.

An ok read, just not a great read. The writing was fine, and it was a fairly good story. I don't know what was missing, I just know something was.

Finding Light In The Dark

This incredibly HOT villain will have you embracing the darkness. He’s nobody’s hero, but he’ll become her savior.
Cyrus is a kingpin for the underworld. He’s ruthless in his business. His clients are criminals. You don’t get to be as wealthy or as powerful without leaving a trail of casualties.
Ivy is young and sweet. Too bad her only fault was being born to a man without morals. Her father gets in over his head gambling, so to match a bet he puts up his daughter.
Ivy is about to be handed over to a man with no regard for women or life. Cyrus may be many things, but skin trade is not something he tolerates. It’s his poker game, so protecting her becomes his issue.
This could mean a war with the Russian mafia, but once Cyrus sees Ivy, he’ll do what needs to be done to protect her.
A slow burn romance between a villain and the woman who who brings light to his life. He’s a man with walls so thick no one has ever gotten through...until her. She breaks him down bit by bit. Their interaction began out of necessity, but their feelings grew out of chemistry and an unlikely friendship. Cyrus is all alpha and willing to protect Ivy at all costs. She started as a complication that quickly became his everything, the only thing that mattered.
This story was steamy with elements of suspense and a few twists that will surprise you. I loved the ending and the epilogue was perfect. Enjoy this dark and sexy romance.

Spoilers- Boring and cringe-worthy. Girl gets kidnapped for bad guy Cyrus’ benefit. He is a “devil” of a man and people should fear him, yet he has morals on hurting women (but he has no issue kidnapping one). Takes girl to island and visits her every few days to feed her. Gives girl a stupid nickname “Sun” which he constantly uses... Girl loves to garden (her passion/hobby) and island conveniently has a greenhouse on it. Cyrus does not want her touching it of course (for some dark past secret!) Couldn’t get through the rest of the book. I love dark romance novels, but this one is just too ridiculous and slow.
