The story is light, the characterisations not much heavier, but the writing was pretty solid and as such the story read easily.
This could easily be fleshed out and given much more depth of character. Doing so would allow the reader to care about Sirene and Nik.
What didn't sit so well with me was the language used during the sex scene with Sirene. Now don't get me wrong, I have no issues with the c-bomb being used in erotica, but it didn't fit the tone of the scene and really threw the whole thing off. Everything else about the scene was gentle and tender but throwing in the c-bomb says the complete opposite. Talk about a cold shower!

Not much to it in terms of a storyline, other than what the blurb says, but it did draw me into the characters, and the values that that society seemed to hold dear. The sex came at the very end, but was sensual, rather than erotic. My only gripe is that this needed to be a bit longer, for me to get to know the characters that little bit more, and see a HEA for them both; both did seem deserving of one,

It is a fast paced story yet telling in everry word the author used. Well written and for me it worked to make me care and want to see the hero and heroine live HEA. I would definitely check other books from this author.
Four star because of the heroine's almost willingness to be treated harshly just because she "guessed/assumed" that the hero's harshness is because he is hurting.

Sirene has been in love with Nik since she first saw him 3 years ago. She went through the heartbreak of watching him marry and then lose his first wife. Now she is thrilled to be contracted as his bride.
This is an erotic romance and it's a very sweet romance. My only complaint is that it ended too soon. I wanted to see their relationship develop. This could definitely be a full length book.

I'm conflicted. I like that Sirene is smart enough and thoughtful enough to adapt to her role. I don't like the concept of contracted brides.
