When I started as the new assistant for the famous rock band Civil Corruption, I thought I’d hit the career jackpot...but I was wrong.
With his attitude, bad behavior, and stupid good looks, Killian has made my life a living hell since my very first day.We may fight constantly, but that doesn’t make me want him any less.
And now I know he wants me too.
He wants to seduce me.
He wants to own me.
He wants to consume me.
And if I’m not careful...I just might let him.

About the author

Born and raised around Houston, Jessica is a self proclaimed caffeine addict, connoisseur of inexpensive wine, and the worst driver in the state of Texas. In addition to being all of these things, she’s first and foremost a wife and mom.
Growing up, she shared her mom and grandmother’s love of reading. But where they leaned toward murder mysteries, Jessica was obsessed with all things romance.
When she’s not nose deep in her next manuscript, or binging on sit-coms, you can usually find her with her kindle in hand.

I really couldn’t stand Killian throughout this book. He doesn’t want Gina, but he doesn’t want anyone else to have her either. A great guy shows interest in her and he tries to tell her all other guys are off limits. All the while he’s screwing anything that walks. He tries to make her miserable so she’ll quit her job with his band. He eventually decides he’s gonna stop sleeping with random women and pursue something with Gina. But by this time, I really would have rather seen her with Marco. He was such a great guy and he would have been so good to her. But Gina chooses the man whore who treated her like trash.
As I said, I have truly loved so many of Jessica Prince’s books. But I hate her man whore heroes and I feel they are rarely redeemed by the end.

Gina was sweet and fun. She wasn't quite the firecracker that we met in the first book, Corrupt, she was much more subdued. We got a much better understanding of who she is and what is going on in her world outside of her duties and friendships with the famous rock band and their significant others. She didn't standout as much to me as Gwen, Tate, and Corrie but, she had a subdued softness about her that made it hard not to like her.
Killian was a character that though we had met him we really didn't know much about him other than he loved; music, booze, and women. His character opened up a lot more and we got to see the demons that haunted him. I was really impressed with the development of his character throughout the book. You could really see his growth as a person and couldn't help but cheer him on as he tackled his fears and fought for what he deserved.
Beyond Killian and Gina's story we got a better insight into Mace and it really set us up for his book. It left me chomping at the bit to see how his and Lyla's story would play out. I love all the Civil Corruption guys and I know this will be another one that I re-read often.

Killian and Gina’s story touched my heart at so many levels. From the love Gina had for her mother and all the sacrifices she made for her to the crazy that was in Killian’s head, it all created such a perfect combination. I couldn’t get enough of it. It was such a fast read and I was mad because I was not ready for it to be over.
I hadn’t realized from the previous books how messed up in the head Killian was. He put little Gina through the wringer. And she was awesome standing up to him and telling him to go shove his attitude up his a$$. So good. I loved it all.
Once again, we get a tiny little Girl Talk blurb. It made me chuckle. Killian thought the girls were geniuses LOL
Read this book! Now! Stop reading the reviews and go buy it and read it. Like, NOW!!!
PS I really hope that poor Marco gets a book of his own. I need to know that he’s happy.

The story is really well done! There were tears and laughs and lots of steam. And there was healing... I really loved the direction the story went with Killian's dad. That was one of my favorite story arcs and bits of character development! : )

When Killian pulls his head outta his arse, man.....does the boy now how to love. And Gina....she's the defender Killian needed but never had. This book definitely fit its title. I was consumed from the get go.
