Product Description

From New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken.

Reid Emory has never had reason to question his luck with the ladies. As the owner of a lethal set of aqua-blue eyes and a devastating grin, this Hollywood heartthrob always brings his A game…but lately his luck seems to have run out. The actor is in need of some help, and there’s only one person he can trust to take his love life—and his career—to an explosive new level.

Jordan Litwright’s newest client is trying her patience. As a publicist, she’s more than content to stay in the background and let others shine. But when a publicity stunt backfires, she suddenly finds herself thrust into the spotlight—as Reid’s new love interest. And while other men usually overlook her, Reid is focusing in with laserlike intensity. There’s no denying they have serious chemistry.

But once Reid breaks into the big time, can they turn their made-for-the-media romance into a forever love?

Reid Emory has scored what he hopes will be his breakout movie role. A role that has the potential to catapult him from Broadway star to Hollywood heartthrob overnight ... IF its managed well.

Accordingly, he and his management hire one of the best publicists in the business to handle his PR for the transition, Jordan Litwright, who, coincidentally enough just happens to be the woman who shot him down at the bar last night when he tried to demonstrate that he still had what it takes to pick up women.

In this hysterical romantic comedy from Rachel Van Dyken, the lines get blurred and smudged and completely erased as a comedy of errors coerce them into a fake relationship that both secretly wish was real.

Of course there's enough potential for a decent RomCom just there, but then there's Max, Reid's brother and the never understated star of both other books in the series (even if one of them wasn't about him) who gets involved. Though its hard to be sure whether he thought he was helping, hindering, or just playing with people's lives because work was boring.

Playing up the comedy from several different angles, like slapstick, observational, situational and through to witty banter, the laughs are well paced, and some are just so funny that I really don't recommend reading on a train, BUT, for all of that there is a really sweet love story to be told amidst the hilarity.

Jordan's story is really quite sad, but unlike so many romances, she doesn't have the classical tragic past. No orphanages or abusive parents. No penny pinching poverty or childhood trauma. No, she's just ... ordinary. Too ordinary to be noticed, which is a whole different kind of tragedy.

Reid receives his payback in this hilarious, third book in the Consequences Series. Max! Reid! Reid! Max! The Emory brothers are going to do me in with their eyes alone.
Star in the making, Reid Emory has been a little off his game since the ‘grandma incident’. He’s never had to seduce a woman in his life, they’ve always flocked to him. So when he finds his life hijacked as a result of an intervention by his brother, and hiring a publicist to grow his brand, he has to show his skills of seduction both on and off the screen. One problem. He has no skills.
Jordan Litwright lives her life in the background. She’s been mostly unseen despite the fact that her hair is out of control, and warrants being classed as a character of its own. She’s a publicity whizz. Putting together a campaign for Reid should be simple. But then there’s Max. She soon learns, there’s always Max. Jordan is about to learn how to live in the spotlight.
Max, as usual, steals the show, but he has the best of intentions as he orchestrates this calamity. Jordan knows exactly how to handle him, she’s the perfect fit for Reid and his family. And she’s my hair sister, so I felt a connection with her, straight up.
Reid. What a sweetie. When he learns how to lay on the seduction he becomes totally swoon worthy. It’s always the quiet ones! I wanted to see more of him.
This series is such a great escape from the stress of life. I read the first two with a giant grin on my face and The Consequence of Seduction was the same deal. Sore cheek bones!
Bring on Jason!

Another fantastic book in the Consequence series by Rachel Van Dyken.

I adored Reid in the previous books - especially in The Consequence of Loving Colton - but oh how I LOVE him in The Consequence of Seduction!

Reid is the one who is never going to be tied down. Nope, that's not the life for him! Until Jordan.

I freaking loved Jordan from the first coffee stained, untamed hair minute we meet her. Her story of her "invisibility" struck a chord with I am sure not just myself but other readers too.

Reid has had some .... issues I guess you would call them, the past year. Horny grannies, gummi bears, you name it, he's had problems. But his biggest problem of all is Max.

Now, don't get me wrong, I loved Max in the first two books, but this time he irritate me no end! I know he is the typical brother to Reid, and siblings get on each other's nerves but gah - I think most the time I disliked him more than Jordan did! And I didn't like hating him! But this might have just been me.

He did redeem himself to me by the end though.

Reid and Jordan have sexy, hot attraction. Whenever they are together things just sizzle, and you know that if/when they get their act together things are going to be explosive.

And what happens when their fake relationship starts to feel real?

I loved that we got lots of the rest of the group in this book. I love the banter, the fun and games between them all, there is just so much mischief you never know what is going to happen next.

And LOVED that we got more of Hades and Little G from The Consequence of Revenge.

Whilst I loved the laugh out loud moments, I completely and utterly fell in love with Reid and Jordan in the quieter, more serious times.
