Rose Mendez just ended her military career in the Terran army. I loved everything about this third book in the series. There are such interesting creatures, Terran and alien. Such mysterious happenings are solved. Not everything is as it seems and it takes teamwork to solve. Rose and Rex must overcome Rose’s dislike of his people, the Ceruleans. There are many moments when I would love to be there and share events, excitement and, of course, the romance. Sigh!

🔹️ Rex Tylarr is a Cerulean, he is in jail, labeled a traitor... The Cerulean are beating him… Anna asked Rose to help watch Rex until he can be cleared of all these charges against him. After all he did save the investor. Rose hates Ceruleans but she would never say no to her boss.
🔹️ Rose Mendez is a Terran, before she left her planet many nights went by being cold and hungry, starving. Now her boss asks her for help taking care of a Cerulean… How can she have feelings for Rex.

All the books in this series are well written and are steamy love stories but Rose and Rex are my favorite. They are supposed to be enemies, human against Cerulean due to the history of their races. But Rose is surprised by how Rex is nothing like her past experiences with Ceruleans. Due to an issue with other Ceruleans aboard the cruiser, Rex is arrested and jailed but then is released to be under control of Rose in very close quarters. Their feelings for each other quickly intensify while working together to solve some problems aboard the cruiser. Fortunately they both overcome any past prejudices they each had of the other's race and get their happily ever after.

A fabulous story of hate/prejudice transitioning to love and understanding! Rose and Rex will make you believe that love does conquer all. Rose is asked to guard Rex so he does not need to be kept with the rest of the Cerulean prisoners. Rose hates all Cerulean warriors who have harassed and tormented her people on Terra-4. Rex has prejudices against her Terran people as well. They both have anger and hatred towards the other based on past experience. Little do they know that they have more in common than they would've thought. Events lead the two to have to solve not one, but two different mysteries occurring on the ship. You will absolutely enjoy these two characters as they come to fully trust and love one another.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Rex and Rose's story! It kind of fits in today's society...people are quick to judge others by their race, color of their skin and other things that don't really define them. I was very happy to see that Rose didn't subscribe to that for very long and instead realized that Rex was a good person and she was attracted to him. Hubba hubba! What a great way to end this branch of the series! I am looking forward to the next story by the amazing Tasha Black! If you haven't read her books, you should definitely give them a try! I believe you will find a new favorite author...just like I did!
