Definitely the out-of-copyright stories of Mark Twain - though I have no idea how complete the compilation is.
The production quality of the book is the worst I have ever seen: it is as if somebody has downloaded these from the Internet, pasted them together in a standard Word Processor, whapped a poor - and irrelevant - pixalated photograph on the front cover and done a 'print-on-demand' private print run.
Some of the stories have period spaces in random words: " he went along to day" or what looks like converted markup in the text. Copy editing? Not for us...
The format is strange as well: more A4 / letter size than a classical 'B5'; the cover is floppy making it hard to read. There is also a lot of wasted space therefore.
If you have a Kindle / e-reader you might as well get that version.

This is the sloppiest publication I've ever seen. You can't pop it into your handbag because it's massive and floppy; the font and presentation are really awful. It's about the same as reading on one's laptop with a kindle app.

Not complete. Not even short stories half the time.Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 August 2015
This may seem like good value but if you're looking for a particular story, such as "The Belated Russian Passport", you won't find it because this misnamed collection doesn't have it; it also seems to includes essays. articles and speeches under the description 'short stories'. Not complete. Not even short stories half the time. A list of titles would have helped. Be warned, also, if you're looking for "Russian" in "The Complete Mark Twain", it's not there!
