Product Description

She knew what it was like to feel unwanted.

At an early age Eliza Anderson learned a very hard lesson. Sometimes the people who are supposed to love you the most are the ones that cause you the most pain. She learned to guard herself, hesitating to let anyone close for fear of feeling that rejection all over again. Then Ethan came into her life, and what had started as a simple childhood crush morphed into a friendship she eventually came to cherish above all else. He was her safe place. Her rock. A shoulder she could lean on. Until he ripped it all away.

He knew what it was like to feel like an outsider.

Ethan Prewitt grew up learning that you couldn’t always trust the people you loved the most to be there. That sense of security he craved had always alluded him, leaving him to feel like an interloper in his own home. He dreamed of escaping the small town of Pembrooke and building a life where he didn’t have to depend on anyone but himself. What he never expected was for his friendship with Eliza to grow into something that meant everything to him.

Mistakes were made. Hearts were broken. But now Ethan’s home and he’s determined to make it right. It was time for their relationship to come full circle.

Because what they had was once in a lifetime.

It's somewhat unusual to be best friends with someone of the opposite gender. Even more so when there's a six year age gap, but Ethan's big sister/guardian and Eliza's step-mother were the best of friends which naturally led to them being in each other's company again and again and that's what they became ... best friends, confidants, despite their differences, they became each other's safe place, that one place where they could truly be themselves.

Then Eliza turned 16 and everything changed. As the 22 year old Ethan realized that his feelings for her were changing into something that was inappropriate given their ages and did the one thing he could think of to avoid messing everything up. He ran away and cut all ties with her. If being drafted into the NFL and moving to Denver could ever be considered running away, then that's exactly what he did.

Six years later, after a season ending injury and a guilt trip that only a big sister could lay on him for not coming home once in all that time, Ethan comes back ...

It's kind of hard to categorize Jessica Prince's newest release, Coming Full Circle. Friends to lovers? kind of. Second chance romance? Well, not really. Enemies to lovers? There's certainly a bit of that there too.

What we do have is a strong independent heroine who has made her way after her young heart was betrayed and shattered yet again, and this time by the one person who truly understood how fragile her trust in others really was.

A story that entwines themes of young love and abandonment, atonement and forgiveness through a cast of characters some of whom readers might remember from Sweet Sunshine, the first book in the Pembrooke series, and Wildflower.

I loved the serious way that the narrative dealt with the sense of belonging, or more precisely the lack of it, an issue that is far too common and often underrated in our modern day world, and yet Jessica still found time for fun, awkwardness, angst and no small amount of heat.

Read straight through in one sitting, I heartily recommend it without a moments hesitation
4.0 out of 5 stars Good 11 October 2016

Between a 3.5 and a 4. The reason being the editing was so bad at multiple places that I was pulled out of the story. I can dismiss a few errors but they were stacking up.
Ethan, brother to Harlow, he has come home after six long years away at his sister's insistence because he is injured and out for the rest of his pro football season. He left town without any intention of every returning, and in doing so broke his best friends heart.
Eliza, we met her in Sweet Sunshine, she is Derrick's daughter. She and Ethan developed a strong friendship despite the six year age gap. But when Ethan left town he did so in a way to purposely drive her away. For a girl who has abandonment issues already from her mother, it nearly broke her.
Now that he sees what he has been missing he is bound and determined to get their friendship back. And now that she is all grown up, he wouldn't mind getting a little more than that.
What I liked; it was good to see Eliza not immediately forgive him. He needed to work for it, earn it, and he did.

This is my first time reading a book by Jessica Prince and it certainly won't be the last. Coming Full Circle is Ethan and Eliza's story. They are both so lovable that you are going to root for them to be together. Not only did I love Ethan and Eliza's connection, I also loved their bonds with their families and friends (Lilly & Quinn).
The plot and characters are interesting. This book made me smile and laugh a lot. I gave this book 5 Stars and if I could, I would give it more stars.
5.0 out of 5 stars love Ethan and Eliza 4 October 2016

Once again jessica has not disappointed me I was greatly anticipating this release and I have to say I was captivated from beginning to end. Ethan and Eliza might be my favorite couple from the Pembroke series. Second would be a tie between. Chloe and Derrick and Harlow and Noah. Loved how we got glimpses of each one of them in this book too.would have loved another book with these families perhaps a Lucy love story would have rocked that way we could have seen what Noah as a overprotective father was like or Ethan and as an overprotective brother, but will have to settle for Lilly and Quinn's story. But I know one thing it's going to hard for them to top Ethan and Eliza story for me.
4.0 out of 5 stars I'm a fan of Ethan 6 October 2016

Ethan and Eliza's story is a good one. We met Eliza way back when she was a little girl in another book, but this can be read without having read the others. The storyline is solid. There are a few problems that should have been caught by an editor, but those problems don't take away from the book. I loved Ethan and Eliza, and may be one of the only ones who thinks that Ethan made the correct decision 6 years ago. He didn't have to be so blunt about what he said, but the age difference was a major factor in that decision. There is a lot of push and pull with the characters, but that makes the book work. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
