Product description

Product Description

For five agonizing years, I have tried to push Paisley Williams out of my life. She's human, which makes her a danger to the shapeshifters in Night Falls.

She's also my little sister's best friend.

With a shooter targeting the pack and Paisley stuck in the middle, the only way to keep her safe is to hold her close.

Too bad she hates me.

Book two in the Night Falls series. For maximum clarity, read Braeden and Paisley's story after Ride the Wicked Woodsman.

5.0 out of 5 stars Romeo and Juliet Shifter Style! 30 January 2016

I really enjoyed this second installment in the series. I'm not a fan of MC stories, but that aspect is not very visible in this story, so if you don't like MC stories, don't worry about it!

What I really liked was the forbidden, almost Romeo and Juliet, aspect of the relationship between the characters. At first I believed that Braeden really didn't like Paisley, but the opening up of the idea that he'd been in love with her, yet was denying it from the beginning was well done. I must admit that it drives me nuts when characters deny stuff to themselves, but that's just my preference. As with all of Wick's works, there's enough hotness to guarantee that you need to have the air conditioner running while you read! Can't wait to see what the third installment has in store!

3.0 out of 5 stars Too much angst 1 February 2016

This was pretty well written, and definitely didn't want to put it down but for all the wrong reasons. This is one where the H was a total d&ck 90% of the time, so I was actively rooting for the h to give up on him. Sure the H had his reasons but I can't stand that type of emotional abuse- loves her but treats her like crap to drive her away. Then when he does admit he loves her, it's such a tonal change that it almost takes me out of the book and I just skipped ahead. I feel like he didn't grovel enough, didn't make up for the harsh treatment he'd been giving her for the last 5 years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wicked Woodsman indeed! 23 January 2016

Paisley and Braeden, I loved them! I enjoyed how Braeden slowly broke down and showed his love for Paisley. So much drama. Read it in 2 hours!

Ps. I really wish Christa Wick would continue with the other Shifter series, I want to know what happened to Cain!

Anyways I love this series so far!!
