Let Me Come In (Fairy Tale Romance) Kindle Edition
After her father’s death, Cecilia Pigg took over his businesses as well as the care of her young twin sisters. It’s a life of duty and responsibility, not at all the life she would have chosen for herself. There’s no time for romance, and even if there were, most men are intimidated by her.
Ben Wolfe is not at all intimidated. He seems determined to sweep her off her feet, to romance her, to make her forget all her troubles. And she does forget, for a while, until Ben makes it clear that he’s nothing but trouble…

Ben Wolfe makes a dramatic return to Piggville, the town that ran his father out 14 years earlier. Rev. Wolfe was accused of impregnating one woman, having relations with another, and raping a third. Cecilia Pigg's father was the leader in forcing Rev. Wolfe and his son to leave on one horse and with few of their possessions. Ben, now a wealthy man, is back for revenge. Since Cecilia's father is dead, he will exact his revenge on her.
I have been reading these fairy tales out of order. For the most part, I have really enjoyed them. This one started well but, for me, went rapidly downhill. I just couldn't get into the lead characters. Ben's treatment of Cecilia was mental abuse and her 'lust' (I can't call it love) for him just seemed a little sick. He was so irrational at times that I kept expecting him to have a complete mental breakdown. Every time the story picked up and seemed like things were going well, Ben would once again do something hurtful to Cecilia. It made me wonder what would happen after they were married a few years and she did something to stir his anger once again. *****************END SPOILERS******************
Although I wasn't really wowed by this book, I will try another in the series.
