Not safe to wear underneath backpack strap!

I wore this shirt one time and one time only while traveling in an incredibly hot & humid area - the ventilation on the shirt kept me comfortable and cool BUT as soon as I washed it, the shirt began pilling (having fabric pull up into small balls) where I had a backpack strap on over it! It was incredibly noticeable and I haven't worn the shirt since then. If you're not going to wear any sort of backpack / messenger bag over it, it'll probably be fine but beware of the pilling.

Pros:
Nice, lightweight shirt.
Venting is nearly invisible, though effective.
(If you need a vented button down shirt, but don't like that goofy 'fishing shirt' look, the 'Silver Ridge' from Columbia is probably your best bet... Carhartt has a nice option in their "Force" paid shirts, but the fit is even more relaxed, and the venting is more visible.)

Cons:
Wrinkles easily.
A bit too "blousy"--I'd prefer a more athletic fit. If I re-order, I might try going down a size.

This shirt really is comfy. I wore it the day of my longest hike in the jungle in Indonesia. While there is NOTHING on earth that could prevent you from sweating, when there WAS a breeze, I could feel it. The layers also help to keep it lose when wet from sweat. Very light and airy. I did get some jokes about looking like Safari gear, but thats ok with me. Dried pretty quickly as well.

Great shirt, comfortable design, and lightweight. I also own the Silver Ridge regular version of the shirt in longsleeve style. Comparatively, this shirt is softer and a little more comfortable. They are about the same weight. I think this material will fray or pill easier than the material in the regular version would. The vent placement on this shirt is a more effective on this shirt Han on the regular version as well. That being said, I like wearing both shirts when hiking and they both dry quickly.

Dirty collar after one wear....

I bought a khaki and white colored shirt and wore them both one time. They both got significant dirt around the inside collar. This has never happened to me with all my shirts. I called and was told to rub the collar with a lemon and soak it in water and vinegar. I think they should include the lemon and vinegar with the purchase the shirt. Or better yet make a better shirt. It's a nice light thin shirt for summer but not when it gets soiled so easily.
