This is NOT a winter coat!3 January 2018 - Published on Amazon.com
This jacket is so thin it is a spring jacket! No warmth other than it is waterproof and will resist the wind. I don't know why they didn't add some fill to make it warm. Several layers underneath would be required to play in the snow. Selling it with snow pants makes you assume it is for playing in the snow. It will work, but plan on heavy layers underneath. It is a real disappointment that Columbia just isn't the brand it once was.

Excellent, comfortable snow set for moderate snow conditions29 January 2018 - Published on Amazon.com
Really great snow set overall. Couldn't beat the price, especially as a first time snow suit buyer for our almost 4 year old boy and our first trip to Mammoth. Had purchased the very similar "Frosty Slope" set in a 3t at first, which was too small for our petite guy (39.5" inches and about 34 lbs), despite having tried on similar jackets at the Columbia outlet that fit great. I overnighted this one instead since it was an even better price point, and it will likely fit him through next season with the awesome Columbia "Outgrown" extension system. The jacket on this set is definitely lighter weight than on the Frosty Slope set (but the bib is identical), which I could see being worn in even colder conditions (it had a thick fleece hood and the omni-heat lining), but this one worked perfectly with a layer of thermals and a separate fleecy hoodie underneath. He was kept QUITE warm in the 40s temps in Mammoth, and could move around without looking or feeling like a giant marshmallow. LOVE the bib in this set, with reinforced butt and knees. It didn't get wet, with a day full snow play and ski lessons. LOVE the fleece lining of the top part of the bib, and the soft velcro straps. My boy is pretty particular about snaps, clips, etc., and this didn't bug him AT ALL. Total score! Would love to see toddler-sized interchange systems with a zip-out fleece jacket, though!!!

You will not be disappointed, quality wear!17 April 2018 - Published on Amazon.com
Amazing little suit. We got it for our nieces and nephews for trips to the snow. This is exactly what we envisioned we would get and the product performed. We were in daytime cold (25 & 35 degrees) and night time freezing temps (-1 & 10 degrees) and the kid stayed warm through it all. We added a few cotton blend (use cotton blend, it wicks away daytime sweat w/o having to take off any layers) layers at night, and the sleeves are easy to get over the gloves/mittens. The elastic cuffs at the bottom were a God-Send, and absolutely needed anytime you are more than ankle deep in snow, which we were. The hood, I can't thank you enough for making a hood that actually FITS! This hood was probably the best one I've experienced- easy to get on and take off for the kid (usually, they are too big and cover your face/vision or they are way too small and won't fit on your head or they choke you). I have a slightly larger than normal 3.5 y/o and the fit was perfect, her brother will wear it next season. And our other niece will wear it the following year..
