I really get annoyed when there is no warning of disturbing matter which could be triggers.
As open minded as I am, sexual molestation and repetitive attempted rapes are not pleasant reading.
Abysmal end to an enjoyable series.
After enjoying the previous books in this series, I am left with a bad taste in my mouth.
A heroine I had no respect for and way too much sexual molestation, attempted rape and just plain ugliness ended this story, then we had a rushed HEA.
Where the authors mind was at, writing this type of abysmal story, I do not understand. We get a brief feeling of satisfaction when Lauren finally and actually fights back, only to have her even more violently attacked.
As nice as it was to be back with the Colter family, this book did not do this series justice.
Even going along with the instant love theme that this series expounds and the fact two men, who have never even thought of sharing, want a relationship with one woman, this book just didn’t make it.
I own and had read and reviewed (now missing) all of the books previously but had never read this one.
The bonus story is just more about how weak Lauren is and we have two strong men trying to right her wrongs and changing their lives to give her what she wants.
Not sure who she actually legally married, Liam or Noah.
Nice to see Lily and her husband’s baby join the family though.
Read through my library but even if I didn’t like the story, I would not be paying the asking price.
The author screwed up the ending of the SWEET series the same way, making it untenable and unlikable.

Secondly, I hardly feel it's worth writing a review on the book itself but here we go. I felt like we spent nearly half of the book in Lauren's apartment with the two main lead's Liam and Noah. It was a bore-off, simple as. The sex scene's were only worth skipping, same old same old. Now, I'm aware there is only so much you can do with a story and it's character's but I've read plenty of authors who are on a par with Banks and are producing fresh new ideas in the Romance genre so for me this was a big let down.
Considering this was the last in the series of what I thought up till now was individual and cared for by Banks, it was just plain lousy. It felt rushed and the ending was rubbish, not to mention we had follow-up's of everyone but Max and Callie who are one of the favourite couples from this series, not good.
Basically, save yourself some disappointment, re-read her old Colter's Legacy books, don't buy this and wait a few years till it's dramatically reduced in price.
Not good Maya, not good.
