Some really mean twists and turns that had you hard out guessing what was coming next.
This author really knows how to tell a mean story of professional intrigue with a bit of romance thrown into the mix.
The ending left me wanting to know more, but I raced through this story totally hooked right from the start.
This is the first of this author's books that I have read and it has left me wanting to find more.

I love the chemistry between T. J. and Casey. Always enjoy Desiree Holt's hot sex scenes and she certainly doesn't disappoint here. This is an intriguing story and I definitely recommend it.
Casey McIntyre is quite the woman. She was an FBI agent for six years and then joined the Army for four years. She made a mistake in Afghanistan and got involed a love affair with another officer which is what prompted the leave from the special forces team she was on and also broke her heart. She came back to her home town in Texas to figure out what her next step in life would be as she is working at her parents family restaurant. When she see's Trey walk in with his laptop and goes and sits in a back booth she knows the man is running from trouble and needs to stay far away from him. But all her years in the FBI and Army have her need to protect kick into gear.
These two are instantly attracted to each other but T.J (the name he goes by now) need to concentrate on just getting the evidence he need to take to his friend at the FBI to put his boss and everyone else away. He also doesn't want to put Casey in jeopardy. Of course he doesnt know that Casey can take care of herself and protect him too.
Once he comes clean and tells Casey the truth will these two be able to bring the bad guys down and will they be able to live a life without target's on there back??
I will read more of Desiree Holt books.
