I'm very short and super skinny so I think it could've been OK with the basic model though.
As we could expected, mattresse is very low quality. very thin and some parts are already very flat from being folded.

You'll love this cot. Go ahead and drop it in your cart and come back to read the rest of my review. Trust me, it's worth it.
Assuming you've put this in your cart, here we go...
I am pretty picky when it comes to my sleeping conditions. My husband and I have a memory foam hybrid mattress at home, so when we decided to go on a camping trip I told him we had to find something comfortable to sleep on. I was tired of the money pit that air mattresses are- they always ALWAYS deflate and I have yet to find one that holds up for more than a handful of nights- even if it's on a clean, flat floor in our home. I began researching cots and came across these. I am so happy I did! The pad that comes on top is really comfortable and the canvas portion of the cot has a lot of give, so it feels much more like a bed. We purchased two of these and will be using them pushed together. When two are pushed together they almost make a queen size bed. Amazon must have heard the complaints about the packaging these are shipped in because ours came in two very durable cardboard boxes. If you are tired of air mattresses and such or are needing a portable bed of sorts, THIS IS IT!
These cots are STILL AMAZING! We have toted these things around many places and had many overnight guests sleep on them. They are still by far the most comfortable portable bed option. Despite currently being 38 weeks pregnant, I still find these cots to be wonderfully comfortable and have slept on them several times throughout my pregnancy. Thanks for an awesome product, Coleman!
The mattress was tossed onto the floor, as all it did was aggrivate an otherwise pleasant experience and as such, was useless and expensive.
As far as the cot goes, a TEN, but the mattress itself, would do better as something to toss down as a ground comforter.
This company produces excellent products and here, they should stiffen up the foam quite a bit and introduce a folding seam for the mattress to fit into the cot for carry or storage.
Otherwise must say the mattress is well built, but for extreme softness which wrecks the beautifully well designed, spring cot, which could be used for triage in emergency situations.
But the mattress, is not something one would want to sleep on for any period of time, simply causing stiffness and a sore back.
We like these particular cots because of the springs. Not only are they more comfortable, but they don't make that rubbing noise most cots make when the canvas rubs against the frame.
They fold and half and are fairly light weight. I wouldn't want to use them as a long-term bed, but for guests or mid-level glamping, they can't be beat.
bonus : there is storage room underneath. I am 225 pounds and there is no sagging.
It takes a lot of room in the car but worth it. Note: it is 6'6" long so it won't fit in some small tents.
Now that Ava has slept in it for a few days I can pass on her comments as to fitness of purpose: "It was very comfy, and I slept in it even when a proper bed became available."
