Product Description

When Trevor Willis offers Dani Carpenter her dream job as director of a new camp for children, she is thrilled. Dani intends to keep Trevor, a family friend and confirmed bachelor, at arm’s length. But her heart changes toward him as they team up to protect Ady, the young daughter of a kidnapped scientist. After Trevor testifies against the son of Don Francisco Morales, a major supplier of heroin into the United States, Morales (aka the Scorpion) targets Trevor in a personal vendetta to destroy his reputation and then destroy everyone Trevor loves. With Ady tucked away in a secure location, Dani and Trevor embark on a chase that takes them from the forests of the Pacific Northwest to the jungles of Mexico. They must stop the Scorpion before he strikes again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Clean, Romantic Suspense 24 June 2017
By Kelly Nelson, Author, OR, USA - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
This clean, romantic suspense is full of action. While Code Name Scorpion can stand alone, it features many of the same characters that were introduced in A Strand of Doubt. I wish I had read them closer together, since it took me some time to remember the characters and their backstories. Trevor Willis is falling for his assistant Dani when a complication with one of the cases he helped the FBI crack leads them on a race to recapture the Scorpion before he can execute his revenge on Trevor. Great scene and setting diversity as the characters follow the Scorpion all the way to his lair in the jungles of Mexico.
4.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing story. 13 May 2017
By Melanie Mason - Published on
This was an intriguing story. It was a little confusing and slow at the beginning, but then it picked up pace and got very exciting. It was nice to see the relationship between Trevor and Dani develop slowly instead of instant attraction. It was clean which is always a bonus. I was a little confused at the beginning with the whole suspense aspect because after the first bit we didn't hear anything else about it until the trial, then everything exploded into an action packed story that kept me turning pages until the very end.
4.0 out of 5 stars Romantic Suspense 23 June 2017
By Kindle Customer - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Great romantic suspense with twists and turns, once the author got past introducing the main characters and spending time developing a sense of endearment for the little girl Ady, the main characters found themselves moving at a fast pace from Washington to Arizona to Mexico. At that point the author kept the suspense high with all the action. A sweet romance conclusion.
4.0 out of 5 stars Well done! 19 June 2017
By Teya Peck - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I really enjoyed this book. Well written and researched enough that it's believable. Sweet love story and I love the faith base of the story. Well done! It asked me how it was narrated and honestly I'm not sure I think it was third person. It was so well written I didn't pay attention to who was saying to doing from what point of view.
