Product Description

Once a Disciple, forever a Disciple.

Cami was born into the Savage Disciples MC, but she ventured out to build a life of her own away from the club. She’s engaged now, living a new life despite missing the bikers that raised her. Overall, she’s… fine.
Sure, fine. She’s fine with the fiancé who is more interested in position and image than the woman in his life. She’s fine with the fake people around and the suffocating passive aggression. She’s fine with the fact that she is turning to drugs to self-medicate.

A Disciple will fight like a savage for what he wants.

When Gauge tags along to visit his club brother’s daughter, he can’t believe the two women he meets: the fiery daughter of a biker and the puppet with the blank affect. And yet, they’re both Cami.
He sees the fire beneath surface, and he wants to watch it burn. He wants to rip away the man smothering her like a wet blanket. He wants to see the flames consume that cookie-cutter future-wife facade to the ground and dance with her in the flames.

When this biker clutches onto a Disciple’s daughter, there is no letting go.

This novel contains explicit sexual situations, violence, and offensive language, and is recommended for audiences 18 years of age and older.
It can be read as a standalone.

3.0 out of 5 stars 3 easy stars 28 September 2015

Overall Opinion: The first 2/3 of this had major potential, but I felt like that potential was lost in the final 1/3. I really enjoyed that first part, but the ending left me feeling conflicted and disappointed. It seemed like there were some major conflicts going on and the resolution for the conflicts was just too easy for me. They had a (somewhat) fight and separated, but then came back together and everything was perfectly lined up for their HEA. I think the author had some good ideas and the premise was good and had potential, but I felt like we needed to make the troubles a little more troubling (if that makes sense).

Storyline: This is Cami and Gauge's story. They meet when Gauge comes with Cami's dad to visit Cami where she lives with her fiancé. Her fiancé is super controlling, and has made her into the perfect stepford wife and not the biker's daughter she is. The sparks fly between Gauge and Cami and he not so delicately tells her that she deserves better than her fiancé. They start a text and calling relationship and eventually Cami leaves her fiancé and starts a relationship with Gauge. They have some sexy times, some ex drama, and eventually they find their HEA.

POV: This alternated between Cami and Gauge's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good. There were no times where I was skimming, and no instalove.

H rating: 3.5 stars. Gauge. He was a hot, alpha biker that sometimes said things before thinking. I did like how he apologized when he was wrong though.

h rating: 3 stars. Cami. I was confused as to why she stayed with her fiancé for so long as a doormat and then threw all sorts of sass at Gauge...she was just ok.

Sadness level: Low/moderate. There were some moments that got me teary, but they might not for other readers.

Heat level: Moderate. They had some steamy times.

Descriptive sex: Yes.

Closure: This had a HEA. Like I mentioned before, it was just too clean of an ending for me.

Check out my goodreads review if you like spoilers

Worth the $?: Yes. I think it was an ok read and worth the $2.99.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved the start of this series! So much fun, lots of laughs for me. 12 March 2017

We meet Camille at the beginning of this book and get a pretty good idea of her feelings about her life in the first couple of pages. Who is her father? Who is Nathaniel? Where is everyone located? Who is Sandra? I had to laugh at Camille's internal comments about Sandra's hair and its results. I had to chuckle at the end of the internal comments about the wive's luncheon. Oh my, Dallas. Who is Gauge? I love Gauge's thoughts about being on a ride. Oh my!!! Gotta love when Tank and Gauge join Camille and Nathaniel at the club for dinner. When Nathaniel opens his mouth about club girls, Gauge's response had me laughing out loud because of what it made Nathaniel do. The text messages between Camille and Gauge are funny at the end of Chapter 5. Love the relationship between Tank and Gauge, Tank's question to Gauge and his response. Love the honesty and Tank's response to it. What happens after days of neither Gauge nor Tank talking to Camille? At the bonfire, after the brothers return from Sturgis, when Gauge takes Camille to his bike, what happens had me laughing. When Stacey comes back into the picture, there seems to be an ulterior motive. What is it? What happens with Camille? Who is in the mystery car that some brothers see hanging around? You need to read this first book of the series to see what unexpected things the author throws into the works. This is my first book by this author and I loved every minute of it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Can he bring out her true self? 9 May 2017

Cami was born into the Savage Disciples MC, but she ventured out to build a life of her own away from the club. She is living a new life, overall she’s… fine. Right just fine with a Fiancé who is more interested in the image he portrays than her. She’s fine with the fake people around and the suffocating passive aggression. She’s fine with the fact that she is turning to drugs to self-medicate. Sure she's just fine even though she misses the Big Bikers who raised her.
When Gauge tags along to visit his club brother’s daughter, he can't believe the two sides of Cami. The fiery daughter of a biker and the puppet with the blank affect. But he sees what she is trying to hide, that fire inside her that he wants to watch burn. He wants to be the one that feeds the fire and rip away the man who is smothering her slowly.
When this biker clutches onto a Disciple’s daughter, there is no letting go.

Let me start by saying that Drew Elyse is a new author to me and she brings it all to the table. Alpha men, a headstrong girl, and a romance between a brother’s daughter and a brother. Bam a perfect story. I will say that Cami wasn't what i was expecting. I understand her need to start fresh and get away from Savage Disciple’s MC but i expected a strong woman, a ball's to the wall woman. Not someone who lets a man try to stifle her fiery side. I wanted to punch her Fiancé, like who the heck does he think he is. He has this amazing woman and is more worried about appearances and status than the woman herself. I wish she would have just went back to the MC her life would be so much easier.
Now Gauge what a man. He sees Cami for what she truly is, the woman for him. I loved how he wanted to be the one to fuel her fiery side. I loved the little tabooness of Gauge being an MC brother to Tank, Cami’s dad, and Cami being his MC brother's daughter. I loved everything about it. Gauge is a very funny man and had me laughing whenever he opened his mouth. Especially at the expense of Nathaniel, Cami’s Fiancé. I loved seeing how he put him in his place.
This book had me laughing, in tears at moments, and others i was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened next. This was a great way to start this series. I can't wait to see what happens next in this awesome series.

Clutch (The Disciples’ Daughters, #1) by Drew Elyse Cami grew up in the life of the Savage Disciple MC. Her mother died at an early age so she was raised by her uncles in the club but you would never know it by where and how she lives. Her fiancé is a well to do businessman who lives in a gated community and belongs to a club where she is expected to attend. He is critical of everything she has known growing up. When her father Tank comes to visit he brings his brother Gauge. Gauge likes his women but he is not looking for a relationship. When he meets Cami he is taken with her in her tank top and shorts dancing around to rock and roll. Gauge sees what type of life she is living and that she is miserable. They start a friendship that turns into more but the journey is rocky. An interesting tale of two people trying to overcome several obstacles and finding love. I really enjoyed this story and the characters. I had previously read book 3 and 4. All books can be read as standalones but knowing the players and their back stories helps. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I give this story 4 stars.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great story. I always love to read MC stories 3 May 2017

There is so many ways a story can come about no matter what genre but, MC stories just have drama, nasty sex and someone always trying to take down the Club. Well this one has all that and a very tasty bag of chips to go with it and I couldn't stop reading until I was finished.
Cami/Camile was born into the Club and after her mother died her father and the Club continued to raise her. When she went to college she met her fiance and became a person she didn't know. He changed her and she didn't what to do about it.
Tank, Cami's dad is Sargent of Arms of the Club. He loves his daughter and no one would hurt her if has anything to say about and if they do they would answer to him and the Club.
Tank is going to see Cami and he has Gauge riding along for the afternoon. When they pull up on their rides, get off and head to the door it flies open and he sees a f@cking wet dream...
This is a book that I will be following up and reading more of the series.
