Cannot recommend this enough. Characters are engaging and relatable, story is fascinating. There are some great explorations of how an AI brain operates in a human housing, which will likely resonate with neurodivergent people. Anyone who likes thoughtful, hopeful science fiction should definitely read this.
Becky please please PLEASE continue. This series is tops. These books are the first fiction I've picked up in about 10 years after considerable urging from my horse's osteopath! Lol. So glad I did. Thoroughly enjoyable read. Thank you to everyone who helped you complete these for our enjoyment.
I loved this book. It restored my faith that there can be science fiction that is not just about guns, explosions, and spaceships. The relationships between the characters were the focus for me, and these were beautiful and I really enjoyed the narrative. I actually read this book first, and then went back to read Becky's 'A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet'. That was also very good, but this one just edges it out as my favourite of the two.
