If Lauren Taylor had known Tommy Slater had returned to Clearwater Springs, she would never have agreed to come back for her high school reunion. If not for the cajoling of her childhood friend Sarah, who had fought cancer and won, she would be enjoying a beer and a pizza with her work colleagues in the city right now. Instead she was standing by a broken down car, in the pouring rain, on a dark deserted country road, looking into the smouldering eyes of her childhood sweetheart who had stopped to help a stranded motorist.
The day couldn’t get any worse.
She had planned to attend the reunion, spend time with her friend, and then get the hell out of town before the weekend was over.
Little did she know, that secrets would be revealed, love would be rekindled and it’s almost impossible to run away from your past.
