I loved this book. I had read and re-read all Maeve Binchy's novels and was really pleased when I found another Irish writer, Patricia Scanlon. Her lovely long, well written family sagas are great and I was thrilled to find this set of three.
*** HOWEVER, BE WARNED: Amazon has labelled them wrongly and Book 2 is actually the final in the set.
Read Book 3 next, or else, like me, you will be very disappointed to find the story going back in time. Book 3 fills in all the gaps in the story you wondered about when reading book 2, which is actually the final volume in the set.

City Girl (City Girls)Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 December 2019
Very interesting exciting novel full of surprises and complicated contents. Friendships were well described and important part of the three women. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
Slow start but very goodReviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 June 2019
Sometimes with this authors books you are plunged straight into the story but this one took me a while. I am pleased I persevered because it turned out to be like all her other books and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Bit of a let downReviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 November 2019
Not as good as the authors other books. I felt it was 3 separate stories and not a complete book. Bit disappointing I am not rushing to read the sequels.
Great readReviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 August 2020
I’m new to this author and thoroughly enjoyed the storyline. It kept me interested right to the last page and I will definitely buy the next one on the trilogy.
