This book is extremely helpful, it is written in very clear English that can be understood by technical or non technical people. It contains all of the information that is required to understand networking fundamentals and to pass the CCNA exam. In conjunction with the websites howtonetwork.com and in60days.net it is a sure fire way to become certified.

Outdated and can't log in to use the new online material, because the author changed the URL extension, to make you buy the brand new one. Not that much new info between 2014-2017. Just a sales scheme just like everything else in this industry, that is holding people back from getting really good jobs, where empty positions abound.
If we wanted to fix the unemployment issue, we would make sure snake oil salesmen and greedy "schools" weren't in the way of filling much-needed positions by charging too much for everything, forcing students to buy constantly updated material with no new contents, and then charging them for certifications as well. This is why impact fields like nursing, teaching, and networking are so understaffed.

Well, I'm a CCNA now. This book was my primary study guide. I had no prior experience in networking before this kindle purchase. It did, however, take me closer to 100 days and a few other books/websites to get me passed. The most important aspect of this book for me was the structure it brings to the CCNA self study approach. Paul knows his stuff, but he moves fast, so be prepared. Don't skip anything he says to do. I'm sure someone with more knowledge on the subject than myself could indeed pass in 60 days. Thanks Paul, I owe my new career as a Network Specialist to you! Some reviewers are stating this book is crap and it won't get you to your CCNA. These sound like readers who didn't give it their all and subsequently failed. The CCNA exams are hard, one of the toughest things I've ever been through. I failed my ICND2 the first time I tried. The failed exam showed me my weak areas, and I hunkered down for another 3 weeks and passed on my second try. I also used other free study guides and material when I thought I needed another perspective, you're foolish not to. Give it your all. It only works if you make it.
I wasn't really sure to buy this book, but I decided to do it because of the reviews. I have several books, including the Pearson (Cisco official) one, but Cisco CCNA in 60 Days has been so easy to follow with lots of really relevant information and labs, that I didn't pay attention to the others anymore. I am finishing the book (doing 2 days per day even though the author doesn't recommend it) and I am taking my exam on January. I feel very confident that I will pass as I feel that all concepts have been explained very clearly. Unbelievably, I didn't take the time to join the author's webpage until today. There are lots of free info and exam questions that you can use to improve even more. (And I can say, that for a native Spanish speaker as me, this was very easy to read)
I suck at school, I am a very hands on person - I have never passed any certification - but i now hold my CCNA, and would have to say thanks to this book.
I started studying for my security plus - and what i have notice with paul's book, is the format day one though day 60, i have a goal to complete a day at a time compared to now i dont know when i am done with studying i dont know when i need to stop and review.
I would buy all of his books for this
now because i am an honest reviewer - do think if you get this book also get the ccna exam cram - sometimes you need more then one perspective to understand a topic and this book does just that.
also it is ok if it takes you more then the time suggested in his book - i spent 5 hours on the first chapter and had to read it over and over again but it was all worth it!

This is a system that can work for you. I am using it as my primary motivator, but also in conjunction with several other tools and resources. The 60 days method is as achievable as you make it though. If you put in the time and commit to the program you can achieve results. I have had the book for a while but only recently devoted myself to really going after it. I worked hard and stayed consistent with my studying. I passed my CCENT exam just a few days ago. I now plan to continue to study and take the second test for the full CCNA within the next 6 to 8 weeks. I recommend this book as part of a self-study path to obtaining these certifications. Just stick with it and commit fully and you can definitely get there.
