I did overall enjoy this book but it wasn’t in my personal opinion the best Lani Lynn vale works. Still a great story though.

I knew going in that I was going to love Banks and Candy's story. First because Lani Lynn Vale wrote it. Secondly because this series has been great. But mainly because the tension between them was palpable in Crazy Heifer, I just knew it was going to be amazing when it exploded.
What I didn't know was how much my heart was going to break for Candy. I thought the drama between her and Banks was normal egotistical, teenager boy behaviour from when they were in high school carried over into adult animosity. I had this assumption that he had messed up and she had held a grudge. And I figured he would grovel and voila smoking hot chemistry explodes. Boy was I wrong. Candy broke my heart and made me love her for all that she went through and how beautifully she dealt with it.
There was so much more to this story than I anticipated. And I loved it. I loved that Candy was the awesome person that she was. And I really loved that Banks had grown up and realised that she was everything he wanted. They were so sweet together and that epilogue just killed me. I loved it so hard. And now I can't wait to get Darby's book next.

Chute Yeah by Lani Lynn Vale is the third book in her Valentine Boys series. This is the story of Candy Ray Sunshine and Banks Valentine. Frenemies since their younger school days, two tragic events that take place on the same night end up separating them before the "enemies" part of their relationship has a chance to morph into more.
Fast forward to present day and they are now neighbors. Candy has a donkey that keeps escaping onto Banks' family ranch and the two are back in each other's social circle. With the help of mutual friends their social calendars keep overlapping and Candy steps up to help Banks with an issue he's having on the rodeo circuit. One thing leads to another, some shenanigans ensue, some sexy times, and some awesome crazy that is par for the course in a LLV book. LOVED THIS! Enjoy!

I haven’t read all of Lani’s books, but I have read most of them. Banks & Candy’s story has taken a piece of my heart.
The start was hard to read, and as upsetting as this was, it set up the rest of the story beautifully. Through the tears at the start, the story then picked up the pace with Banks & Candy somewhat being forced together then both admitting the feelings they had for each other since high school. Yet it wouldn’t be a typical book from Lani if there wasn’t some laughs. The standout part to the laughter was when Candy went to the dentist. Just be warned - don’t read this part when you’re trying to get a sneaky read in at work!!!
Hopefully Darby’s story us just around the corner as I am looking forward to seeing him tamed. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

This book was absolutely devastating in the before, I was sort of expecting it to head down the same "past" explanation as Crazy Heifer and Herd That, But unlike the other Valentine brothers, Banks Valentine wasn't the only one that suffered that night.
Candy Rae Sunshine also suffered her own traumatic event. My heart bleed for that girl.
When I saw this was in two parts, I wondered what it's purpose was. I'm actually really glad that with Banks LLV separated past from present to give us Bank's side of what happened that night. For a story that has five different perspectives, yet is vital to each character to tell their version it can seem a little repetitive, boring and maybe even over worked. But seriously LLV is keeping it fresh.
Candy Rae Sunshine has always had a dream. Sell coffee. Nothing more, nothing less. But when she went into business with Desi Valentine neither one of them expected things to blow up in their town they way they did. And with Candy's dad needing surgery maybe it's time to re-evaluate where things are headed with not only their business but her dad's.
Banks Valentine is fearless on the bull's he rides, when his on them it's the only time he can think, feel and be. But his female fans are getting a little extra. He loves what he does, being on the bull is his happy place. But after one night in particular incident, maybe it's time to re-evaluate his life in the rodeo circuit.
When the rest of the Valentine Boy's and their wives come up with the "best plan ever" it's only a matter of time before things come to a head between Candy and Banks.
Once again their was little conflict and everything flowed smoothly. I'm absolutely loved the fact that LLV hasn't put forward miscommunication and drama with he couples as the forefront. Chute Yeah is so far my favourite Valentine story, but Ace Valentine still has my heart.

I wasn’t sure what Chute Yeah had in store for me as the first part of this book had the tears streaming down my face. However as the tears from the pain and heartache dried, new tears formed, but don’t worry these were ones resulting from the laughter that at times I couldn’t control. Banks and Candy stole my heart and had me captivated by their journey from pain to happiness. Their story was emotional, heartfelt, witty and overflowing with passion. Another Valentine that will have you absolutely enamored and wanting to pull on a pair of boots and head to the rodeo. Be prepared though because eight seconds will never be enough with Banks and Candy.

When I picked up this book I did not expect that my heart would hurt so much in the first couple of chapters. As the book went on my heart mended but wow, this book definitely packed a punch I did not expect. I really enjoyed this story and I loved watching Banks and Candy give in to their tension.
This book had me laughing at time, as always with a book by this author. I really love the little things at the start of each chapter, they are always something funny and never cease to make me laugh. I love the Valentine guys and I can not wait to read Darby's book next!
Again, Lani Lynn Vale has written a book that captures your heart in one swoop. I love how real her stories are, not sugar coating. Everything is real, and raw, and beautiful. I am so ready for more.

I didn't expect this.

Lord, I did not expect their story to be what it was.
Banks and Candy did not have it easy. Not even a little bit.
They've known eachother since highschool and even then had a pretty strained relationship despite them both having a crush on eachother. One traumatic night, both for very different reasons was what it took to change their lives forever.
Fast forward years and they get thrown together again obviously not by choice and would you believe that crush is still there under all the unspoken truths and resentment they hold against one another.
It's safe to say that along their journey many revelations were made. Both heartwenchingly painful and so so sweet. It was very bitter sweet in the beginning but both Candy and Banks are all grown now and far more mature so situations were talked through and resolved and then came the undeniable chemistry and connection they had both been denying for so long.
I didn't like banks in the beginning because he was a pinhead but I loved Candy immediately. Obviously I love Banks now and he definitely made up for everything very early on. Both characters has so much depth and so much to give. The growth between them was tremendous through their journey and I loved that their walls came down and we got to see a softer more vunarable side to them.
As per Lani always gives us a boat load of sarcastic wit, hilariously outrageous shenanigans and crazy dysfunctional relationships. I love the side characters and their input in this story. I love all the crazy between them all and how close they are to eachother. That connection was definitely palpable through the pages.
The heartbreak and hurt. The sweet and sassy and the love and laughter. Everything just fit perfectly.
I love this crazy world and it's larger than life characters and this is just another fabulous addition to a great series. She did Candy and Banks story justice and gave them the ending they deserved. It's a emotional rollercoaster but sooo soo worth the ride.
I can't wait for what's to come next!xo

Loving the Valentine Boys series

I’m loving The Valentine Boys series...
Chute Yeah is Callum and Candy Ray’s book and it was a really great, fun read.
They went to school together and while they each like the other they acted in very different ways. He was thoughtless and cruel on the worst tonight of her life, which then happened to be the worst night of his!!!
Candy has every reason to want to avoid Callum but due to work she seems to be unable to, which for her isn’t a good thing. Callum, not realising the reason why she’s trying to avoid him and the hurt he caused is determined to get to know her and see if he can get past her defences.
Callum has definitely grown up due to what has happened in his life and the responsibilities he now has and Candy has gotten herself to a place where she’s kinda happy, because of her determination and strength of character.
I loved these two together - and Lani Lynn Vale makes it nigh on impossible to pick a favourite brother when it comes to these Valentine boys...

Can’t wait for Darby
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 April 2020Verified Purchase
Not a fan of this book. I have loved the other Valentine brothers stories and I can’t wait for Darby’s, but Banks and Candy didn’t do it for me.
For the first 50% of the story, I couldn’t really get into it. There were inconsistencies throughout, something horrific happened to both of them but it was never really addressed, even though it shaped who they were as adults and they claimed to dislike each other, but I could only ever feel that from Banks.
The last 30% of the story was enjoyable and at the very end I did like Banks, but sadly for the rest of the book I couldn’t get behind them.
I absolutely adore LLV’s stories and the majority of them I love so I will continue eating up everything she writes, but as with all books, there’s no one size fits all, and for me, this one just wasn’t a fit.
