My dog is only a small Jack Russel/Pug but she somehow always manages to destroy literally every toy by sheer persistence of chewing an individual spot until the toy crumbles away.
This little ball has been great - she's able to squeeze down on it in her mouth and, because it has a hole in it and it's hollow, it just squeezes in and out and doesn't break apart.
It's also super bouncy and glows in the dark, so she absolutely loves it.
Completely disregarding all other toys now that this ball is about.

I ‘charge’ the glow over a lightbulb when I’m getting ready in the morning to ‘charge’ it.
The glow doesn’t last a long time but my walks are around 45 mins and a quick 10 seconds on the head torch every now and then just boosts the glow again. As you can see from my pictures, it’s actually very visible.
Top of this list is the dogs love it and it whistles a feint but audible happy tune as it flies through the air which the dogs also seem to love. They can follow the sound which is just as well as its often dark blah blah. Worth the money and ordering more. Happy chucking!
Except Chuck-it balls. Every one we have bought has survived (except their generic tennis ball that came free with a ball launcher) and is still going strong. We have several different ones, the very best being the Ultra ball but also the loud squeaker and this glow-in-the-dark version. It's a very different ball to the ultra, much softer and squidgier as it has a hole through the middle. It's also a different material, one that glows a eerie green in the dark.
And that's the selling point of this ball over the others. It does glow in the dark. It's not super-bright, it's not got twinkly lights and you could still lose track of it, but it does glow a definite green that makes it easier to spot. We've got quite a long garden and I've not lost it yet, and just as importantly, Storm the God of destruction has not ruined it either.
These are great not only did they Glow in the dark , but there's a hole in the top and the bottom , when you throw them they make a whistling sound so that even if you're dog is excited and runs off before he knows what direction you have thrown the ball . He and you can hear it going through the air . Great fun , now he can play fetch in the dark and get rid of some more energy . I bought the medium which is the same size as a tennis ball . They are made of sturdy stuff . He hasn't even hardly marked the surface . Normally a tennis ball lasts for two walks one if he's over excited . As I said he's hardly marked them .
Highly recommended fun .
I've already told family and friends and they can't wait for there's to be delivered .
Will definitely be buying more . Thanks .
This ball is charged by light, so we leave it on top of the cupboard instead of putting it away. At the moment our walks are starting at dusk, and the ambient light means that the glow only shows slightly, *however* there is a hole through the centre of the ball, meaning there's a slight whistling noise when it's thrown. Our pup has no trouble finding it, I suspect because the noise helps. When it gets a bit darker, it shows up perfectly well.
I hadn't expected the glow to last the hour long walk, but a quick few seconds flash of the torch on my phone is surprisingly effective at lighting it up again.
We ordered the medium max glow, which fit the tennis ball thrower we already had. We'll stick to tennis balls during daylight as they're cheaper, but this is going to be a godsend through the winter. We'll have a very happy puppy.
The ball needs to be charged for a couple of minutes under a medium/ strong light prior to going out, but glows vividly and is easy for dogs to find.
The ball whistles quietly when you throw it due to the holes in each end (unintentional design element I suspect...), however this helps your pooch track it quicker.
The ball is tough, light and affordable and fits in my launcher/ flinger thingy.
Four stars given only because I’m hard to impress!
To all the people with one and two star reviews, you didn’t even bother to read that you need to charge up the glow with a light source. These people complained it doesn’t glow. It won’t glow if you don’t bother to read the instructions.
No more searching for the ball in the dimly lit park. If you want to play ball with your dog. Get this. The ball is also hollow and will whistle especially if you get a spin going on the ball.
Pro Tip if you get a small screw Led and a bedside or table lamp you can boost the process of charging up the glow before you go out. The ball fits over my led light through the hole. Take your phone and use to torch to charge it up further if needed.
It really does glow, better than I expected. I am lucky to have a large garden and we go out in the dark each night and play for about 15 mins. When he fetches it I can easily see where it is on the grass unlike all his other tennis balls etc. I put it near a light for 20 seconds or so as I leave the house and it glows. Sometimes after 10 minutes I put it near my iphone light to juice it up. If it gets stuck in the hedge where the dog can’t reach I easily see it to use my chuckit launcher to reach it. The ball fits the launcher well. This has opened up a fun exercise time on a dark night. Very impressed.
Its glows in the dark for a long time and when its back to normak just reapply the light, I use the flash on my phone to do this.
My pup has great fun with these, one of the best balls I have brought.
I have a 10 month German Shepherd and can chew through tennis balls, but not these as there like a squishy ball.
These will fit in the ball throwers.
I leave mine on the dashboard through winter so on the way to our daily walks they are charged up and ready to glow should the shorter nights be catching me out and we are trotting about in the park. They glow just enough to make the obvious and even it the day time, overcast or foggy they stand out as a greeninsh white against the grass. If you take them to the woods they are easily found amongst branches or bracken because of their luminosity which is just enough to always spot them. So far I've only lost one out of 7 different sized balls purchased.
I don't care about playing ball in the house, within reason we bounce these ones around the kitchen or down the stairs on rainy days to give the pooches some stimulation as they are all highly intelligent and hate laying around hour after hour. I have a spare set in a draw for an evening play time, we fetch the balls with great excitement and bounce them around the house for a bit, then they get a biscuit and they lay down happily for the rest of the night.
Whoever designed these balls just loves dogs, and I love their balls! My apologies for turning this review into a blog but i can't like them more than five stars which is frustrating.
